Those sound like real-time box office results. Keep in mind, studios get numbers in real time and will know approximately what a movie is going to do by early evening PST.
Why else would he go out of his way to post them on a Friday night?

The $30 is likely his own commentary, or that of a overzealous staffer from whom he got the numbers.

I don't think it takes much effort to post numbers on a blog. I'm sure he has some kind of reasoning behind his "numbers," but it's most likely how the films are doing in his area, and obviously he's not taking the rest of the country into consideration.

I dunno, he has access to very expensive tracking information, so I have to think he has a source.

Unfortunately Mr. Wells has little credibility to begin with. andaroo would agree me on that. He tends to allow his personal agenda cloud his judgement (like his dislike toward Peter Jackson, Chicago, and Pirates), and on the box office front, like Poland, he hasn't shown he could utilize his supposedly extensive inside information consistently.

All The King's Men and Flyboys look like the flops we expected them to be. Well-deserved for ATKM. It was bloody awful. Flyboys was merely meh generic war movie cliches. The Great Raid, another James Franco war movie, was better.

Fearless 404, +14, B+
All the King's Men 139, +5, C+
Flyboys 206, +4, B-
All the King's Men is certainly in trouble, failing to perform as the hours it's supposed to thrive (comparatively).

Pulse was under 100 and I never would have expected that last year for a poorly received horror movie that didn't do that well. I think it is possible for Jackass to be under 100.

From Jeffrey Wells (Hollywood Elsewhere):
Today's numbers from back east: (1) Jackass: Number Two will end up with roughly $12 million and over $30 million for the weekend; (2) The Gridiron Gang with $3 million; (3) Fearless with $2.9 million; (4) Flyboys, $1.8 million, (5) All The King's Men, $1.5 million...phfffft.

Jackass: Number Two 978, +108, B+
Fearless 458, +54, B(down from B+)
All the King's Men 156, +17, C+
Flyboys 224, +18, B-
I would bet on a ratio under 100 at this point, judging by screen reports. 10 mil opening day should be the minimum.

I'd say 12m for Jackass 2, 3.8m for Fearless, 1.6m for All the King's Men, and 1.8m for Flyboys.

It would look like $9-10m if crowd reports didn't contradict. I guess under 100 wouldn't be too surprising since the ratios seem to be getting lower and lower these days, but still, a fanboy film under 100 is unusual.
Jackass: Number Two - $11.5-12.0m
Fearless - $3.9-4.4m
All the King's Men - $1.5-1.7m
Flyboys - $1.7-2.0m

Not too bad...more asians on the west coast, so that might explain the 20% underestimation of Fearless. Jackass & Flyboys within 5%.

In this era of lower ratios, I'm going low on all three tomorrow. I think each has the demo and high theater count to justify the following:
Open Season - 60 (lower than Over The Hedge)
The Guardian - 80 (lower than Ladder 49)
School For Scoundrels - 100 (in the same range as Accepted, Beerfest, & Without A Paddle)
Zing, the separate charts are proving to be tremendously helpful. Thanks again.
