The Holiday Gift thread (The Greed Game)
My family had our Christmas this evening. I don't know why. We're having family portraits tomorrow evening after they get off work, and my mom's family's Christmas on Friday after they get off work. They are working X-Mas day (both work at the same casino), but I guess Saturday night is off limits for them.
Anyway, I got the following so far:
-A new leather wallet (my old one was in shambles)
-Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Full screen....euch....I convinced my mom to trade it in for widescreen)
-Aladdin (Special Edition DVD)
-Godzilla (wtf. My borhter just grabbed something out of the bargin bin)
-The Alchemist (my mom 'read' it (on CD) and loved it, and she thought I would like it apparently)
-The Complete Hitch Hikers Guide: Complete and Unabridged (my sister knows me too well)
-MP3 player
I was hoping for either Star Wars or ROTK:EE, but Aladdin and POA are good. Definitely things for which I was asking. I ended up giving my mom the same book she gave my sister. At that, they opened it at the same time...
How is everyone's non denomonational holiday season gifts?
EDIT: A game my friend's and I played tonight:
Just list everything you got for the holidays. Whoeevr has the most stuff when all is said and done 'wins' the greed game. It's generally pointless and stupid, with little coherency, but I guess it passes the time.

Couldn't tell you!
Still a few days off yet.
Hope you had fun and enjoy your gifts. This is one xmas where I haven't asked for anything, and have NO idea what I am getting.

Thanks to both of you.
I suspect Nemo would have looked kick ass on a set like that. I kicked around the thought of buying a plasma set but the price is still to high for the size I would want. I have a 55" widescreen now. Theres no place to go but up in size and the 60" are just to much..... I wouldnt mind getting a LCD projector or something of the sort down the line...

Lauren's keeping it a secret (Which I guess it should be) and I wont know what my parents got me until I visit them. I'm sure glad I got my Christmas, err... Chrismahanakwanzakuh shopping done Monday because I couldn't get out of the snow today. We were closed at work. McD's, closed. Something that doesn't happen often, and it's happening twice this week, lol!

Today I got a new shower, yes i am sure this sounds boring to y'all but we moved into a new house that my boyfriend bought earlier this yearand the bathroom drives me nuts..their is ahuge window in teh shower, and get this wallpaper! On top of that we don't have a real shower head, we have one of those that you have to hodl yourself...i HATE it. Its going buh bye and I could not be happier.
The house was kind of expensive since its in one fo the msot expensive neighborhoods to live in when in RI. Its a three floor two family, and went the two floor townhouse to some dumb (but hot) dental hygenie students.
Everyone akes a big deal out of my boyfriend buy ing a house at 24, and an expensive one at that.

- Shaun of the Dead
- A 50 dollar gift certificate at the movie theater here, so I can go to the movies alllllllll I want.
- A DVD rack
- A pair of earrings
- A couple of sweaters from my grandma
- A white miniskirt with attached rainbow belt from my sister. Hot.
And my favorite presents...
- Nintendo DS
- Super Mario 64 DS
The touch screen is freaking genius, I swear. Been playing it for about an hour now. Controls took a bit of getting use to, but now I know what all to do and it's just perfect. Thank you God... I mean Nintendo.

You know, not to spoil the moment Ripper and all for you, really I don't mean to, but as a general good piece of advice for your you and your boyfriend: Don't buy a house together until your married to one another.. If you buy a house together right now and your not married?? What happens if something happens between the 2 of you and you both split up and your both stuck making mortgage payments on the thing cause your names are attached to the deed when your not married?? Just a thought cause I'd hate to see down the road a thread about how you or your boyfriend were screwed and stuck making payments on something when your not even together.. Ouch..

Well, I'll pray for you this Christmas and hope your attitude improves greatly over the piss poor, Ebeneezer Scrooge one you've currently adopted over it..

Well so far, I have received a Blockbuster Gift Card for $20 Bucks from my Nephew who's 14, a 20 Pack of Long Neck Bottles of Ice Cold Budlight which my sister ran off and forgot to bring over to me, so she'll give it to me by News Year Eve which is cool.. And I also got "That 70's Show" SEASON 1 DVD Box Set and 150.00 Bucks from my Mom.. So far so good I'd say.. I to was also generous this year with everyone else.. Everyone either got a 50 Dollar Gift Card to a Major Restaraunt or a 50 Dollar Gift Card to Blockbuster Video and I had 6 people to buy for.. Not bad..
