I don't understand what it is with these Jackass films. It's like the opposite of what a frontloaded fanboy film should be doing.

I think it's getting pretty good WOM, actually. I know a lot of people (who originally dismissed Jackass as "over") who are going to see it now because of what they've heard from their friends.

Some schools had the day off for Yom Kippur. That should explain the lower-than-usual drops.

Jackass is a bit different to the typical frontloaded fanboy films because it gets the "did you see what they did with..." type of water cooler talk that generates curiosity and hence resembles good word of mouth.

The Queen's pta is insane, though this could be another Syriana. Last King of Scotland is holding very well midweek numbers also with an above 5000 pta.
