I have some serious issues with the scripting and plotting, but this was a delightful, funny, thoughtful comedy. Carell, Arkin and the little Breslin girl are all marvelous. The "Superfreak" finale was genuinely rousing.

An entertaining slice of life comedy, though I really do think it's overrated. At times it was funny, but I never found it laugh out loud hysterical like most do. The performances are great. Toni Collette gives one of the year's best performances. I loved her character, and how she didn't want to shelter Oliver. Steve Carell is also really good, and is really different than his role in THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. The other great performance comes from the usually non-talking Paul Dano, the scene where he jumped out of the car was great. I really enjoyed LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, though I was extremely far from loving it. Recommended on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
7/10 ( B )

Errrr... who are these "most" you are referring to?
(Even me, a fan of the lowest of the low-comedy, wouldn't describe this bittersweet masterpiece as "laugh out loud hysterical". It's no Beerfest, that's for sure. In my own personal viewing of Little Miss Sunshine, I'm pretty sure I cried more than I laughed.)

Most people that I've talked to that have seen it (and my screening) thought it was hilarious.

I still cannot believe that this movie has yet to receive a single grade below a B in this forum. Have we ever experienced this at the forum before?

Are you kidding, or are you actually that sure that you won't like it? I find that basically depressing for your sake.

Somebody had to rate it an "F" just to be a jerk. Oh well. It was almost unspoiled.

It was the Bronze person, because I noticed the nnairol poster had voted before the F.
I say we burn him at the stake.

But bronze is right behind silver and gold! Do all my illusions have to be shattered before this whole show ends?

I checked the votes when Libs commented on the response (the closest I found, though obviously I didn't search through every thread, was LA Confidential which had 17 As and one B and nothing lower, BTW), and I'm PRETTY sure that both Bronze and the nnairol one had voted then. So pick again. (I didn't pay too close attention, so I could be wrong, but i dont think i am. it doesn't happen often, anyway.)

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was wrong once -- I thought I'd made a mistake, but it turned out I didn't...

Is there an option in the phpBB software to sort poll participants sequentially, rather than alphabetically?
Regardless of this particular abberation, I have always thought it would add an interesting dimension to the review threads. It would help to highlight timid viewers on first viewing who grade low, dazzled virgins swept up in a mood, latecomers with the hypermoon effect, etc.
On second thought, maybe not...

That would be something that Krem would know. I have no control over the polls.
And it's not BronZe, people.
