Arghgh, I didn't know it was on tonight, so I clicked on this thread and now I know who's out.

Luckily where I live it's not playing until a couple hours from now, so I won't miss the show overall.

Goodness. The two ethnically diverse teams eliminated in the first episode. There goes that.

Very early first impressions:

Tyler & James (meh, seem like the typical alpha males this show usually has, despite the whole drug addict angle)
Duke & Lauren (seem like relatively nice people so far)
Peter & Sarah (mmmmmm...it's hard to tell if they're gonna turn out like Charla & Mirna, I really hope not)
Dustin & Kandice (so far, much more appealing and less "OHHHH MY GODDDDDDD" than I would've thought)
Rob & Kimberly (eesh, they're bringing back unpleasant "angry couple" vibes ala Ray & Deana, etc)
Kellie & Jamie (ehh, too early to tell)
Tom & Terry (very typical "stereotypical" gay couple this show often has, hopefully they'll be less irritating than Lynn & Alex)
Erwin & Godwin (also too early to tell, but...they're sort of on my bad side for being retarded enough to bring water guns to an airport)
Lyn & Karlyn (meh, I wanted to like them more than I did, they seem already way too hung up on talking about Peter & Sarah...it reminded me of how Lynn & Alex never stopped bitching about Rob & Amber)
David & Mary (hmmmmm, also too early to tell, they seemed OK? I guess)

Dustin & Kandice definitely were my favorites, but the cheerleaders, especially Jamie, were really cute, too.

Tom & Terry, who should go by Terry and Tom so as not to be teased...

Outstanding opener. I'm already feeling much better about this cast than last year. There were no instant HATE teams where I was rooting for elimination, really. Rob & Kimberly bug, but they're not awful yet or anything. And Tyler & James were, I have to say, a big step up from Eric & Jeremy, so...

I missed yet another season premiere.

Can't believe I didn't notice that there is an alpha male team, heh, that was a stupid comment. Derr, I wonder who's going to win all the legs? The race should learn by now, jeezus, is it no teller that they win almost every single time one is involved? Gah.

I liked the premeire overall. Missed the first 30 minutes, because I was unaware of the special time schedule, but I didn't miss much because I already knew those 2 guys were out from this thread.

Everyone seems pretty sweet. Even the prosthetic leg team, the old hag, or the lazy black ladies("Too hard!... uh... Itss too hard!!!), are fun in a "laugh-at" way, over just being annoying or dislikable.

I really liked the Muslims, sad to see them go. Girl was good looking too.

The Cheerleaders > The Blondes.

I wonder why Amazing Race doesn't get any flack for dividing people up according to race, orientation and such. But if Survivor does it, it's suddenly wrong, according to some in the media.

So far my favorites are the Indian couple and the girls who look like the Doublemint twins.

Well, if we're going by favorites that look great, the beauty queens and cheerleaders are my frontrunners.

BUT, if we're going by all around favorites, I don't have one yet. Least favorites? The Couple From Redneck Street, Hicksville. And Amputee Sarah is getting on my nerves. How can someone with one leg make me hate them so much?!

I finally got to watch the show again!!!

Off to a good start so far. And there aren't any really dislikable teams on the race, though i don't care too much for Erwin & Godwin or Rob & Kimberly.

I liked Vipul & Artie and David and Mary the best in the first episode.

Potential Favorites:
Kellie and Jamie - Well, the obvious. They look great. But, like Dustin and Kandice, they are not as annoying as I expected.
Tyler and James - Much like Kellie and Jamie, not as annoying as I expected. Maybe it was the drug-filled past that's made them OK.
Erwin and Godwin - They could be fun, and they could be assholes (like everyone in my potential favs list).

Not Feeling Much for 'Em
Dustin and Kandice - Well, I didn't want to lump them in the same list as Kellie and Jamie, for fear of criticism. But, to be honest, I didn't like them much as the other "pretty girls" team.
Duke and Lauren - Didn't see much from them, other than Dad crying over his daughter's lesbianism.
Lyn and Karlyn - I thought they were okay, but then they stumbled in the last leg.
Tom and Terry - Do we really need the stereotypical gay couple again? They're not as annoying, but not likeable.

I Hate Them
David and Mary - We get it, you're hicks!
Peter and Sarah - We get it, you're an amputee!!
Rob and Kimberly - We get it, you're a human being that cannot be controlled by your girlfriend!!!

I loved Rob's line:

"99.9% of the time, I'm in love with this relationship. The 1% of the time that I'm not, is when we take... tones with each other"

It's annoying me how football ran late and The Amazing Race still hasn't started yet, which means I'm gonna have to tape most of it and watch it later. Dammit.

It sucks but if it helps any, DH will be watchable free online tomorrow on the ABC site.

It only ran late 15 minutes. Not too big of a deal.

Watching the show thoughts:

Peter is a weirdo. I like Sarah, but Peter totally creeps me out.

Au revoir, Kellie and Jamie. I'm still flabbergasted that I wasn't particularly rooting for the elimination of a given team like I usually am. I mean, Rob and Kimberly are kind of annoying, but they're nowhere near as bad as previous "dysfunctional couples" this show has had. Very promising.
