Luckily, Matt Groening likely doesn't have any issues with spelling errors.

James Crowell. BOOYAH! I saw the Wal-Mart movie on DVD, and he was in the faux-Wal-Mart commercials, which reminded what an underrated, underused actor he is. Hopefully this'll get him a much-deserved EMMY.
Still, this ups the speaking roles this season to what, 178?

Really, there is casting news for "24" every week, seemingly.

I just read in TV Guide that [spoil]he is going to be involved in this season's plot (PRobably where Logan comes back in) and we get to meet his family. And he lives in Bel Air.[/spoil]

Season 6 plotline! (No Jack mention though):
[spoil]"Season 5 concluded with a battered and bloodied Bauer captured by Chinese government agents and headed for points unknown. Season 6 picks up 20 months later. Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), the strong-minded brother of the late president David Palmer, is now himself the president of the United States, while his sister, Sandra Palmer (Regina King), is a determined and powerful advocacy lawyer. After a series of horrific terrorist attacks, Palmer and his team of advisors, Karen Hayes (Jayne Atkinson) and Thomas Lennox (Peter MacNicol)  as well as CTU colleagues Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), Curtis Manning (Roger Cross) and Bill Buchanan (James Morrison)  begin an unthinkable, nail-biting day."
KAREN! [/spoil]

Well [spoil] I have a feeling that these guys are going to end up being Nina's bosses. I suspect that Nina, Max, and at least Mandy all worked for them. I think they were behind the main plots in at least seasons 1, 2 and 5. The others are more difficult. I am wondering if the whole goal was to get rid of the President in Season 4 and the fact Mandy was involved makes me wonder even more. [/spoil]
Oh and word on if Mandy will return again? I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of her.

24: Season 5 Artwork
Hmm... on one hand, it's a great artwork that will fit in nicely with the first four. On the other hand, why bother showing five completely different artworks to vote on, and not use any of them?
This is worse than the Rescue Me: Season 2 Artwork debacle.

Well, we'll never know. The bottom (and large) artwork is the Season 5 official artwork. Those first five were options from a few months ago that fans voted on. Why did they bother having a vote, if they didn't intend on using any of them?

AH I see now, I didn't read the whole page in the first place. Yeah why bother to have a a vote if you are even going to use one of them.

Casting news from 24insider message board, taken from Ausiello: [spoil]Paul McCrane is definitely back as Graham, the bluetooth headset guy controlling Logan. This time, they are introducing his family in a multiarc subplot. Paul McCrane's wife will be played by Rena Sofer (Melrose Place and Coupling). No word yet on who will play their 15 year old son.[/spoil]

I'll probably watch this season, just to take part in these discussions? I haven't watched since the first season though.
When does it premiere?

I'm going to start with season 5 today. Like Nebs, I will watch all the season in 3-4 days.
Without knowing anything about the plot, everyone who has seen it tells me that it's one of the best seasons.
So call me excited too and eager for season 6.
