I heard that guy (Jonathan) is some actor who used to be on that horrible Tea Leoni sitcom The Naked Truth. If that's so, appearing on TRhe Naked Truth is probably grounds for Exile Island.

Oh my GOD! He also guest-starred in Melrose Place, The Nanny, Seinfeld, and two CSI shows. Suspicious.

maybe because it made his race look bad.

Duh! Because black people hate white people. Ask Loyal! ;) Seriously, I'm positive that this issue will come into play at some point and the player's reverse racism will end up hurting them. The smarter move for the two guys would have been to do a (VERY OBVIOUS) eenie-meenie-miney-mo and pick someone at random so it didn't look like they are playing the race card.

I'm uncomfortable with the team that represents my race dammit! The whities are very flakey. Seems that the black team got fantastic women but stupid men, and that the white men are okay but the women are dimwits. The asian team looks to be the strongest. The latino team has the big fat guy who seems to be dead weight to them... I loved his comment about how they are more equipped to handle the heat, etc. because I'm positive with a body like that he's spent a lot of time outside... and we all know that survival on the Cook Islands is genetic.

I love Racist Survivor! Did anybody notice that although all but one (Cao Boi? I think his name is) are native United States citizens that the Asian and Latino team took time out to explain their cultural heratige? (I'm Philipino! He's Korean! I'm Vietnamese) and that the Black and White team didn't (like all white and black people are by default natives to the US)... did anybody notice that the White team profile, name in the credits, arrival at the island, etc. always come *last*. Maybe not to offend the audience... There are so many interesting racial aspects about this show! I'm not upset by it at all, I find it completely fascinating! :)

I wonder if any of the whites have any chance at all to win. Technically, if we get to the end and there's 1 white person, the gallery is going to be full of people who would potentially vote against the white person based on their skin tone. I'm just thinking people will act to their worst natures!

So far the most interesting person seems to be Ozzy. I have a hard time telling any of the white people apart, but it's early days yet.

I'm a firm believer of the "all white people look alike and smell like bologna" theory.

I was avoiding racist Survivor, because I can drive to Maine, get lost and have my own racist Survivor, but this actually sounds interesting, the black women talking about "representing" in the commericials just got on my nerves.

I'm about 10 minutes in, sorta boring.

I think a cool twist would have been to have a castaway pretend to be of a different race. People think I'm latino all the time, I've been yelled at before (while living in FL) for not being a fluent espanol speaker and embracing my culture.

All reality shows are sorta boring. They play best in summer when there's nothing much else on, in my experience.

I get that shit all the time, its listen fuckers, so I didn't embrace my Portuguese, Cape Verdean and native American Heritage (till the build a casino and the checks start coming any), now I am supposed to embrace cultures I look like too! I purposely took french in high school, and sucked at it.

things I learned

Asians are good with puzzles
Blacks aren't good boaters
Whites are horny bastards
Latinos are hard workers.

Interesting.

This Jonathan Penner guy is more recognizable than I would've suspected. He was one of the main five actors in The Last Supper (also starring Cameron Diaz, Ron Eldard and Courtney B. Vance), and the movie was direwcted by his wife.

And apparently he was on that Rude Awakening show on Showtime where he got naked and looked amazing. I guess not so much now?

I agree. He's my favorite so far. Cao Boi (however you spell it) annoys the hell out of me. Seems like he annoys his tribe, too, so when and if Puka loses, my guess woud be they vote him off.

This is my first season watching survivor, and I admit it's because of the whole race aspect. Hopefully they're planning on putting every episode up on Innertube, because it's the only way I'll be able to watch.

The Latino tribe better NOT lose the next immunity challenge, because then they would have thrown it for nothing.

Anyway, I'm not sure what I think of them throwing the competition to get rid of Billy. It seems like Ozzy and JP are already getting too confident if they're willing to purposefully LOSE an immunity challenge in order to vote someone off.

It's a never a good idea to throw a tribal challenge, ever ever ever. Why give your competitors the numbers advantage? You may have a useless dolt on your team, but he's still a number and should be used until you absolutely have to discard him. You don't just willingly toss him away. I remember Drake did this back on Pearl Islands and they proceeded to go on a losing streak until the merge.

I was feeling sorry for Billy up until the creepy "I'm in love with Candice" moment which was just beyond creepy yet also hilarious.

Not to mention keeping Billy around would mean the other four would be safe, since he would be voted off if they lost.

Yeah, that's when I stopped feeling bad for him, too. He fell in love at first sight with her? WTF?

Yeah, and then they cut to Candice in next week's preview, saying that she plans to flirt it up with Adam.

What a ho.

Billy's self-proclaimed "love at first sight" bit with Candice is the weirdest thing I've ever heard.

I'm noticing a trend this season where a lot of the women are more appealing than most of the men (except the Asian team, where I like everyone except annoying Cao Boi). And I pretty much don't like anyone on the white team much yet, so...

Ahahaha, Billy Love, Billy Love...

I like this season so far. I think Cecilla is an early favorite, she's got the combination of under the rader smarts and just in general being a friendly person to her tribemates. I think being nice is something vastly underestimated in Survivor, creating a scene, being a dick, being too bossy, being anti-social, all don't make you friends very much... and then they vote you out. Relating to your tribemates is as important as strategizing, probably moreso, I'd say.

White team is completley pathetic except for Jonathon. 2 bimbos, a crazy person, and that lame Adam guy, he's definitley too weak and stupid to go anywhere, another Aras he is not.

Hispanics are way too arrogant and argumentative, Oz and JP are kind of obnoxious, Kristina argues too much. Only Cecilla is a good member there. I think they'll lose next time too, throwing the challenge + internal conflict doesn't lead to good things. Not a team.

Asians are probably the best so far, minus Cao Boi, who I don't get. He's... racist towards asians? I don't get it. Becky seems smart, another favorite probably. Yul and Brad are also fine.

Blacks are ok. Nate is fun, the rest are just kind of there, neither interesting nor dull. There's like, no difference between Sundra and Rebecca.

And oh yeah, The Exile Island clue was wayyyyyy too easy this time. I mean it wasn't even riddled, it told him what to do in straight directions. Grr.

Seriously.

What Ozzy did was disappointing. He thinks he's on Big Brother.
