I Had No Idea The Good German Was In Black & White
When was the last time an A list director and cast worked on a black and white film that wasn't nominated for Best Picture?
Ed Wood?

He used to be A list.

I just did a search and found this site that has 3 stills from it including one of Blanchett, Maguire and Clooney together in a scene.

I am not that impressed, the movie is looking to be less cool looking than I had expected.
But the black and white will help its awards chances.

I guess that Sin City could arguably be classified as B&W with an A-list director, but yeah, it almost seems like nothing manipulates the academy more than the decision to go black and white. God forbid they ever cast Dame Judi in a B & W picture. The shockwaves from the orgasms would sink California into the Pacific.

Having read the plot synopsis and seen one picture of it, I gotta say that I can't wait. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone screamed "BP NOMINEE LOCK!" when the trailer is released.

Boo.
Clooney needs to not ride on the success of GNGL. Hope not, anyway.
At least black and white can be sexy.
