Anyone have some youngings around to REC a movie.
Over Xmas, I am seeing my nieces and nephews and I think I am going to bring them to movie day. There are 4 - both boys and girls - aged 7 to 10.
I would imagine that they have seen some movies like the Incredibles.
So right now, I am thinking. Fat Albert or Lemony Snickets ( is this OK for those 7 or 8 years old )
Any answers would be appreciated as I haven't been around kids this age in a couple of years so I don't know what is appropiate and also would be fun.
Thanks.

Personally, I don't think kids of that age can really enjoy Fat Albert that much. If anything, I would recommend Lemony Snicket's. It seems like the perfect kids flick for the holidays. If they're in a "christmasy" mood, take them to The Polar Express before it leaves theaters in two weeks. If they're fans of the show, Spongebob Squarepants, I would highly recommend the movie. If they liked Pirates of the Caribbean, I'd definently recommend National Treasure, which can be for the whole family, without a doubt.

depends a lot on the kids too. What are they in the mood for. They might actually already know what they want, but if they don't, are they looking for senseless laughs or are they hoping to see a character they've already read about in a book. Do they like cosby or jim carrey .... see what they like .... kids usually enjoy being able to pick something at the end of the day : )

Thanks for the hints. I agree on most of the choices.
SpongeBob is a good idea and should replace Fat Albert.
And National Treasure is another good one. I had that in my mind a couple of days ago cause I thought that was a pretty tame movie.
Then I will give the choices to the kids.
I just wanted to have some ideas as I am not sure if there will be a major difference between the 7 year old girl and the 10 year old boy.
So thanks again.

Well my nephew, as seen in the Photo Album, has seen many movies in the theatre that he has LOVED. Some, not appropriate, but most are.
Here's his list that I can think of:
1. Incredibles
2. Lemony Snicket
3. Blade 3
4. Polar Express
5. Spongebob
So, he would recommend Lemony Snicket.

My two children, ages 6 and 9, liked both The Polar Express and The Incredibles. They are both very eager to see Lemony Snicket which we will see soon.
