I figured it had to be Spielberg. SPR is the shit Mav, you'd love it.
The last 25 minutes are out of control and the middle isn't half bad either.

See, that's why I never dared speak of it. My credibility just flew completely out the window. It wouldn't be so shameful if I hadn't owned it for the last 7-8 years. It's sitting in a cabinet about 10 feet from me right now. That's the shame of it. Absolutely nothing keeps me from watching it. I can't remember what happened that I originally didn't see it, but I did buy it right away with plans to watch it.

The middle drags a little.
The first 20-25 minutes are brilliance, though.

1. Crouching Tiger
2. Gladiator
3. Traffic
The first two are two of my favorite films.
I like Traffic. I think some of it's great. But I've never been quite as in love with it as others have.

Of those 3, Traffic.
Erin Brockovich was my favorite of the nominees and my favorite of the year, though.

Haven't seen Traffic, but Gladiator out of the remaining 2 easy.

Traffic is the best of the 3 by far IMO, but the best film of 2000 IMO was Amores Perros.

I must say Im a Speilberg fan and havnt seen Close Encounters As for Saving Private Ryan - a fantastic film and not just the beginning - the whole thing!
As for this thread - I'd go Gladiator.

Well, I think everybody knows my answer. Gladiator is a good film, but not BP material. Overall for Year 2000, I have Dancer in the Dark and Requiem for a Dream as the top 2 films.
