Exactly, its an iconic line, but it was added in at such a bad moment. He was calm and cool the entire time, so he obviously just got an extra hundred thousand, said the line and the editing team put it in at some random part in the movie. Its quite a shame too, it would have been a great line, thats really the only part that didnt make the movie fun for me.

I thought the line was perfectly placed. He had it at that point. Every time he went to do something, the snakes prevented him from doing so. Now he needs to land the plane, and the snakes prevent him from doing so. He finally snaps. I loved it. Perfect timing for me.

Yep, it's the beginning of the conclusion. The line is perfect there

And I should be there with you, but the line does nothing for me. His character was perfectly calm the entire film, then after he says the line, he's calm again. They should have reshot the entire ending to show that he had enough. He had enough, and then enough of having enough.
The problem it was PG13 first, if it was the other way Sam would have been cursing the entire time. and more emotional, meaning that the line would have made more sense. If it was originally R, it would have been the definitive Samuel L Jackson Role, but now I would place it more as #5 or 6.

It was fun, and SLJ and Julianan Marguilas actually had good chemistry together.
I was very happy, it satisfied my expectations, it was a well done b-movie.

It created such an odd atmosphere... it was trying to be funny, but yet 50+ people were dying in horrific fashions. I guess it was just really morbid. It works well as a thriller though. There is never a slow moment. I do wish like others that the big anaconda was used more, like a big showdown between it and Jackson, though it had already chowed down on that one guy. Snakes were used well in the movie, it was a brilliant idea as snakes would just bite over and over (thus more destruction) and not just stick to one meal, since they didn't even eat the people. I only jumped at the exit of the plane, wow that scared me!!

I saw the film, and I didn't need the party atmosphere in order to enjoy the film. I was in a theater with four other people, and they weren't reacting very much to anything in the film. That still didn't stop me from enjoying it. If I have only one problem with the film, is that the PG-13 version is still noticeable. If they had tried for an R the entire time, it probably would've been a little bit gorier and a little scarier. That saying, it doesn't hurt the overall enjoyment too much.
Is it sad that I also kind of enjoyed the music video too?

I saw it today.
My thought: For being a B movie, I thought it was a well done movie. The directing, writing and acting were better than I thought, but who cares about that, it was about fun, and this is a fun film.

I loved it too - those four singers were so cute and cuddly, the tune was funky, and the lyrics were funny. Are they a real group?

SOAP was a really enjoyable experience, but I don't know how much I'd have enjoyed it if I hadn't been with my friends.

B, pretty enjoyable movie even before the snakes showed up. I wish I saw it at a crowded theater instead of on DVD.

The movie didn't help up very well on a second viewing. It was really boring sometimes and way less fun than in the theater. C+

 Re: Snakes on a Plane
1/10 -> "If only a snake wrapped around my neck and suffocated me!" type of awfulSeriously I didn't get a single minute of this thing. It was horrible from start to finish. Very cheap and unnecessarily bloated. They stretched paper thin plot into an awful mess. I didn't expect it to be great, but I never thought it could be this bad. It's much worse than I could ever imagine. I love Juliana and Samuel is a king, but OMG, they didn't need this movie.

 Re: Snakes on a Plane
This is on TV right now and I had to do a double-take at seeing Julianna Margulies in this. Seems completely random now after The Good Wife's been on so long.

 Re: Snakes on a Plane
It definitely wasn't the best movie of 2006, but it's so intimately tied to that year's culture that I can't imagine that viewers who pick it up now (or later) will find much to enjoy outside of Samuel L. Jackson's immortal motherfucking line.
It also goes to show just how times have changed in regards to Internet hype fueling the run of a movie. It's true that Snakes on a Plane was hampered by peaking way too early, but it's hard to imagine that it would have been as large of a box office disappointment in this even more connected day and age.

It's a terrible movie that became self-aware about its terribleness, and thankfully did so in enough time to throw in scenes that were practically winking at the very viewers who suggested them in the first place. It's one of those cases where the concept is so comically absurd that I'm amazed that anyone involved with the production ever wanted to play it straight as a PG-13 thriller.
