I'm thinking around 200-250 as well, but these ratios are getting harder to pin down.

I think somewhere close to Aquamarine's 280. 300 for Snakes on a Plane.

Generally speaking. I'm thinking 600 reviews for Material Girls is possible, and with a 250 ratio, that could mean a $6-7M weekend. Not groundbreaking, but not a flop, either.

Probably because nobody has any idea how many reviews it started with today.

Teen girl films like Material Girls have had very high ratios in the past. I think
New York Minute is a good comparison. That had a ratio over 300. I'm thinking 300+ for
Material Girls. In fact, some of those films had ratios over 500. It could happen, even
with the changes yahoo has undergone.

I agree. It's really hard to pin down the Material Girls ratio.....could be anywhere between 200-500 IMO. Hopefully there will be crowd reports which will be better to pin down a ratio.

That's a good point, but it's been a long time since we've seen an outrageous ratio. Like her or not, Hilary Duff is popular, and I think her films could do decent with the right story. We'll see if Material Girls fits the bill.

Niente per Signorina Sunshine????
Can we at least start keeping a mini-count as of now so that I can see its review count jump, like, 300 new votes per hour?

It's at 1381 right now, and three days ago it had 1088 at 3pm, so it has been doing about 100 reviews a day. Given it's half day so far, and taking the theater expansion and the early half being the slower part of the day into consideration, I think we're looking at about 50 reviews so far.

What are thoughts on Accepted's total right now and potential ratio? I was thinking a
ratio of 100-150 would be likely for it. Without a Paddle is probably the best comparison.
It had a ratio of 108.
I'm going with these ratios...
Snakes - 300
Material Girls - 350
Accepted - 125

Well, Snakes should hopefully hit at least 2,000 reviews for the day, otherwise it's in trouble.

If historical patterns hold, Accepted should have 500-600 reviews today. With a ratio of 100-125 (which is reasonable), it could have a $4-5M day. Still too early to tell how it will hold up through the night, though.
