Topping the criticism already laid upon this year's nominations, did you guys hear about this...?

Apparently Ellen Burstyn was nominated for supporting actress in a made-for-TV film (for Mrs. Harris) for a 14 second role. A FOURTEEN SECOND APPEARANCE.

The Acadmey could defend itself up to this point, but really, not with this.

HAHAHAHAHA I just read that on The Envelope... bizarreeeeeeee

And it was in a fantasy/dream/flashback sequence of some sorts too.

Conan is hosting, eh?

Well, looks like I'll watch the show even though I don't give one shit about 99% of the shows nominated.

Everybody knows this shit happens in any award show.

Why do you think there are many of us who participate in the Oscars thread?

If these shows were about quality they'd be nearly impossible to predict.

In anticipation for the upcoming awards this SUnday, let us again view Ellen Burstyn's magnificent Emmy nominated nine (or fourteen) second performance in Mrs. Harris.

My God... I honestly expected to see the best acting in 14 seconds, and got nothing.

Shame on the Emmys. Only a major "24" sweep will make me forgive them for the atrocities that they laid on the audience this year.

It would only be more hilarious if it was "Frightened Inmate #2".
