The Slant review for this is hilarious. They linked the Snakes to Terrorists and the movie as a happy-ending 9/11 story.

Those people really do take to much from movies like this.

The sheer level of lingering cleavage shots in this movie really was a bit nutty. I'm not complaining but it got well...........slightly boring after a while.

As did I (third time in three days). Still great. Saw it Thursday night, Friday night, and tonight. People still went wild and clapped during certain scenes.

It got a prolonged ovation at the end and it was a very mixed crowd, more then just the internet geeks who were there on Thursday night.

The WOM on this is fantastic though, it has gotten great reactions from both crowds I saw it with.

This movie is awesome, top to bottom, start to finish. It's got such a great lasting feeling, and I'm more than positive that this will have such a fun repeat viewing.

Grade: A

Yeah, it's actually pretty hard not to notice.

Movie was just meh for me unfortunatelly. It's not funny, nor scary and not particulary memorable. C-

Its alright, it wasnt too bad but I didnt think it was really that good. I would have liked to see more of that giant Anaconda snake inside the plane something like say the mother of all snakes but they pretty much only gave that snake one scene and thats it. Also it was kind of anti climatic with them just maskhing the airline windows just so the suction from the pressure will take all the snakes with them

I agree with that. Maybe they will make a sequel, because they could have made a more interesting exploration, rather than a cheesefest. Im gonna try and watch it again. WE'll see how it holds up.

I've seen it twice, and both times the theater wasn't nearly full enough for how much the crowd wanted to get into the movie. I'm not a big fan at all of the opening, and, in regards to makeshift, I'd actually say that I felt the film picked up towards the end after the pilot died. It has some very funny moments but it just wasn't nearly as entertaining as I had hoped it would be. B-

This is one film that I just cannopt understand if anyone would not at elast enjoy themselves. A fantastic good time and that line is just priceless.

Still a 10/10

A local review/summary in the paper:

"Samuel L. Jackson shares a mother-effin plane with some mother-effin snakes. Slithering ensues."

Thank god somebody gets it!

Not yet. I actually wanted to this weekend, but instead Krem came up and we went partying all night *ouch...my back today :-( * so blame him. I am maybe going to try to see it tonight. I know the crowd won't be as fun though, which is too bad.

We saw it today in an (unfortunately) totally empty theater. I thought the movie was ridiculous, but fairly entertaining. It wasn't as unintentionally funny as I had hoped for, though.

Like, it was actually more well-done as a "serious" movie than the likes of Anaconda, something I found oddly disappointing.

Fun is the name of the game. This was fun from start to finish and yes when Samuel stood up and said his line, the entire tehater cheered. It's too bad more people aren't embracing it, it is a fun fun film.

Timing of his 'line' couldn't be any worse. If only he said it after some close encounter with the snakes it would be better. Now it seemed as in that Simpson episode where Bart had his line, and the fad passed. You know, "I didn't do it.", with audience just being meh about it.

Tons 'o' Fun!!!

I only wish they had gone with the alternative true title, mentioned by Samuel Jackson's character midway through the movie: Snakes on Crack -- but the marketing would never have worked out nearly as brillliantly.

For someone like me, raised on first the Airport series of plane disaster movies, then the Airplane series of plane disaster spoofs, SOAP was a note perfect re-imagining and ultra-amping of this bloodline for the modern world.

That makes two great airplane fictional thrillers, after U93 earlier this year!

6 out of 5.

(Can't wait for the sequel, whether it is the mentioned Snakes in Space, or whether they go with a whole new animal or insect instead!)

It did feel very oddly placed and out of place. But still...it was such a good line.
