Wow. So Pulse went from March, to July, to August, to September, to Aug 11, then to Aug 25. That is really something.
Back when the movie was R and coming out in March i was planning on seeing it. No more.

I really hope it bombs, even if it turns out to be decent...

I guarantee it will bomb. The TV spots are still advertising the wrong release date.

DOA's release date is now just "Fall 2006." It's not being released in September now.
I wonder if this means it's a bad movie.

Accepted has been pushed back a week, to 8/18.

These last-minute delays rarely bode well for the movies.

True, but it's only a week, and from what I hear, it's a strategic move to bring it closer to colleges being back in session.

I think it'd be more logical to open it on the last weekend of October before Saw IV gets booked.

It'd wouldn't change anything. They'd still book Saw IV on that weekend and Halloween would bow out. Saw IV is an estabilished $30+ million opening horror franchise, the biggest thing in horror since Scream. Halloween needs to be re-estabilished. Saw IV would have taken the weekend anyway.

Not sure Halloween would beat that weekend against 30 Days of Night... it has one of the coolest premises and a much better director.

It's going up against SoaP, which appeals to the same demographic. Big mistake, IMO.

According to Coming Soon, Pulse has moved back to 8/11 again. No joke.

Yup, moved back to Augfust 11th
http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/index. ... e=newsfull
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they just oull all the prints on the day of its release and announce a delay till October, only to have the prints delivered back to the theatres next day.

It's possible that it never really moved to August 25th in the first place. I mean, half the websites still reported the 8/11 date, including the official site for Pulse.

Yeah I think that 8/25 thing was just a rumor.
Lucky You has been pushed back a month and a half to October 27th, 2006. Good sign.
Not so good sign: LGF's Trade has been pushed back from December 2006 to April 2007.

Oh ho ho. I would love this film to get in the race.

When is the WSOP 2006 Main Event Final Table being aired on ESPN? It might be smart of the studio to open the film the weekend after with the momentum of poker publicity rather than before/during (American Dreamz was pretty much out of theaters by the time of American Idol's season finale).

Yes!!! Brilliant for both! Brilliant!!
I Am Legend can now dominate thanksgiving and the weekend before - while 10,000 BC has that "period" feel to it so it should fit in well with December. Plus it always felt out of place in a crowded July.

Thanks Liesse00!!
Here is a list of the important ones:
Madagascar sequel DreamWorks 11/7/08
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Warner Bros. 11/21/08
10,000 B.C. Warner Bros. 12/14/07 7/27/07
I Am Legend Warner Bros. 11/21/07
Fred Claus Warner Bros. 11/9/07
The Visiting Warner Bros. 11/2/07
The Brave One Warner Bros. 10/12/07
One Missed Call Warner Bros. 8/24/07
I have to commend WB on most of its updates and changes. Moving The Brave One is neither here nor there. I think it would have been good summer counterprogramming - but the change is ok.
I think WB will dominate end of year 07 now with I Am Legend, Fred Claus and 10,000 BC.

Fred Claus takes November 9th, 2007.
Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, Kevin Spacey, story revolves around Santa's neglected older brother(Vaughn) who is forced to move to the north pole with Santa(Giamatti). Not sure who Spacey plays.
Could be fun, a good christmas comedy. Vaughn is big when it comes to comedies nowadays, so it'll be a hit if I had to guess.

Yeah I think Fread Claus should be a decent sized hit.
November 07 is shaping up to be huge. This is how it currently stands:
November 2
- Bee Movie
- Enchanted
- The Visiting
November 9
-Fred Claus
November 16
- Beowulf
- The Golden Compass
November 21
- I Am Legend
I expect one of Beouwolf or Golden Compass to move a week ahead or a week back.

Winter 07 still needs Potter or Shrek to move there to anchor it and own. Those all have decent potential, but nothing over 140 mil IMO.
