It would need an under 30% drop imo next weekend for $500 m + to still be in play...

37% drop would keep 500m in play. The late legs will be great.

Now THAT is what I'm talkin' 'bout. If DMC can make HALF of what it takes to get to $500m in just its first 10 days..... I can only imagine that this COULD possibly really be a reality. I mean, here in KC, the first movie was still playing in the $2 theaters all the way through December of '03. If DMC can maintain the legs it's beginning to show, I think it may actually have a chance at letting this club win!

Well, 500m or not the important thing is that it earned far more then the original.

Haha, "realistic"
First "$500m club" movie to cross $400m; that's a good start.

I don't think PotC2 will exceed Spider-Man2's multiplier based on its third weekend. With that multiplier, it would stop near $425M. It mighty also stop at $405-410M too, though. In any case, under $400M seems very unlikely, and Shrek 2 seems very safe.

Anyone who predicts below $410 million is dellusional because the film is a LOCK for that, given that it'll be at $358-360 million by the end of next weekend and at over $380 million by the end of its 5th weekend.
