Bad but expected for Miami Vice. There's no way it'll recover its astronomical budget.

Great for John Tucker Must Die.

Poor for Ant Bully.

Interesting, much better for MV than Yahoo was indicating, but still lower than we were thinking a few days ago.

Good for MV but still a flop, grat for John Tucker, terrible for Ant Bully... and kind of decent for Lady, since it should drop only 60% or so, heh...

Wow, anti-crowd reports for Miami Vice. It must have done reeeeally well in areas lke urban Florida. If that assumption is correct, I see a 5% drop on Saturday.

Words can't explain Ant Bully. Just wow....

Veeery nice for a no-name John Tucker.

Pirates looks to easily break $20 million.

But the burning question is .... will Barnyard now BEAT Ant Bully?

Is it just me, or is LITW going to fall about 60%? That number is horrible. Same with Clerks, it is going to fall about 60-65%. Also, Pirtaes looks like it fall by about 45%. It should do about 19-20 mill.

Still low for MV but at least it was nowhere near as bad as the crowd reports make it out to be and yahoo reviews. 24+ million is still possible so it aint bad at all. Its also just sad that people actually pay to see John Tucker must Die that looks like pure crap from the trailers but thats not surprising given its high tracking on the net and crowd reaction

Well, at least a bit better for Miami Vice than all of us expected from the crowd reports and the Yahoo reviews, but still, putting it in retrospect, it is disappointing. It might (and probably will) drop on Saturday and WoM won't carry it. I see about $22.5-23 million for the weekend and around $60 million for the total.

POTC2 rose as expected and once again will stun the doubters as it should make around $20 million over the weekend. May I say it again? Lock for $400 million!

Pretty good for John Tucker Must Die, though this is the kind of a movie that won't be blessed with a good multiplier, so I see $15 million for the weekend and less than $40 million for tota.l Good, but not great.

Terrible for The Ant Bully and I expect Barnyard to perform even worse.

You, Me and Dupree was obviously hit by John Tucker, but I still expect it to reach $80 million.

The Devil Wears Prada will drop less than 35% this weekend again. Terrific. It'll finally be ahead of Superman in weekend grosses. $5 million for the weekend and $125-130 million for the total.

Lady in the Water is...umm...dead in the water. 68% off from last Friday. Should rebound, but still drop 60% for the weekend.

Funny thing is that they call ant bully as a FOX film and Jonh tucker must die as a WB film LOL

WB should stop doing shit like this. All of the employees there should commit suicide especially the executives.

Derby is going to be difficult to gauge unless Mojo has a number for MSEG.

Here's a stab at projects, assuming ~1M for MSEG:

MIAMI VICE 24.27
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST 20.57
JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE 16.00
MONSTER HOUSE 12.14
ANT BULLY 9.38
LADY IN THE WATER 6.82
YOU, ME AND DUPREE 6.90
LITTLE MAN 4.64
DEVIL WEARS PRADA, THE 5.05
CLERKS II 4.03
MSEG 3.52

No way, MV will make more than that. I should do about 25.

With the WoM it is getting, I really wouldn't be so sure.

I just don't see the rush factor for the film. I don't think it will drop on sat...it should increase by about 10%.

Where's My Super-Ex Girlfriend and Superman Returns?

Very nice number for Miami Vice considering last night's expectations. Collateral opened with $7.9m and rose to $9.5m on Saturday so I'm still hoping for a small increase that can get it to at least $25m.

John Tucker Must Die did fantastic....still can't see why every went low on it. There hasn't been a "teen movie" since Stick It and there's been a ton of marketing.
