BJ, you're hilarious  That would be one hell of a Friday to Friday drop, though.
Funny thing is, I could actually see something a little like that happening, though on a smaller scale:
20M Friday (including 6 from midnights)
11M Saturday
7M Sunday
For a 38 Million dollar weekend. After that, a total around 80 Million. The interesting thing is, it's completely possible for this film to drop 50% on saturday, because it will be the first film with large midnights that won't exceed capacity the next day.

I am pumped, but I was honestly pumped for this more a month ago. Maybe this late-summer release date may hurt the film more than I thought.
The problem is the joke has worn itself out and people are coming back to their senses that theres no way SOAP will open to 30 million considering its R rating

The problem is that this is an internet joke, not a general audience one.

I'm still anticipating this (most anticipated upcoming film by far) but that more because most films have been terrible lately. I need something to get excited about and David R. Ellis hasn't disappointed me yet with thrillers.

I'm less confident. I still think it'll be a hit and all, but it's not going to be HUGE.

Opening weekend - $31 million
Total gross - $64 million
I think there is enough hype to open above $30 million.

22/60 million
I dont think the legs will be bad as people think. It also doesnt seem to have even as much buzz as AVP or Freddy Vs Jason even on the net. Its also playing in less theaters than both

I think this might be the first 20m+ opener to not get a multiplier of 2.

This would've done so much better if New Line had bumped it up to MI3's second weekend. It could've broken $100m total there. But hype is unfortunately dying down rather quickly. So my new prediction is:
1st Weekend: $31.0 million
2nd Weekend: $8.46 million (-72.7%)
3rd Weekend: $3.39 million (-60.0%)
Total: $58.47 million (1.89 multiplier)

Now consider this and judge for yourself how much the hype for the movie has died down. This was the results taken from comingsoon.net
Spider-Man 3 42.0%
Pirates of the Caribbean 3 13.9%
Transformers 8.9%
300 5.9%
The Simpsons Movie 5.0%
Eragon 3.8%
Saw III 3.8%
Iron Man 3.0%
TMNT 2.9%
Grindhouse 2.7%
Ghost Rider 2.4%
The Incredible Hulk 2.1%
The Grudge 2 1.1%
Snakes on a Plane 1.0%
Hot Fuzz 0.9%
Pathfinder 0.3%
Flyboys 0.1%
The Reaping 0.1%
The Wicker Man 0.1%
Snakes on a plane is behing freaking Grudge 2,Saw 3 and TMNT
I think theres a possibility that Killumanti is right when he said it could open below 20 million
