Teaser should be coming out online in the next week. Is that just speculation or official about the trailer. They said the teaser was coming with SR, so I expect it out in the next week. Though it could have been POTC2, so then 2 weeks. Either way, its coming soon.
cancelation, there is now no word on when the trailer is comming out, fewls havent finsished Saphira yet

I was starting to think more along the lines of like 55m-80m | 215m-260m

I'll wait until the actual trailer or teaser releases (next week, I presume?), but right now, I'm starting to think this won't make over $200 million total. I'd say around $175 million, actually, which is obviously damn good.
But I'll see how the teaser looks.

cancelation, the trailer/teaser or what ever it will be is now TBA.

I read on one of the fansites that Fox has decided not to put the trailer with
SR because Saphira (the dragon) isn't finished. I think that's a big mistake.
They should put out a teaser at the very least to get awareness going. If Saphira
isn't ready for SR, it's unlikely the effects will be done on time for Pirates, and they NEED
to put the teaser/trailer with one of those to get the awareness this film needs. There
just isn't anything else that reaches a broad enough audience to put the trailer with later
this summer.
That said the fan made trailer is awesome, though I don't like using the Narnia music. It's
a great theme, but it's just begging to be pegged as a ripoff by doing that.

I'm loving that poster, and the teaser is decent too(though it looks wayyy similar to LOTR).

They actually have a teaser trailer minus revealing shots of Saphira (just quick flyby shots).
It screened overseas in at least one UK convention and at E3.
It didn't get the reactions they were looking for.
At this time Fox has MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND as their first film domestically to debut ERAGON. They have not
finalized what trailer will be targeting PIRATES 2.

there is no posible way for me to predict even over 265m for this film, I just dont see it, the only reason 200m-260m is possible is because of the time of year they have decided to release it.

I think its apprant they were going to put Transformers with Pirates 2 but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw another Book becoming a movie trailer on that in Stormbreaker.

im begining to think this will be this winters bomb. foix has seemingly ditched its promotion in favor of night at the museum. trailer was scheduiled for sueprman. never happened. bumped to pirates. switched with night at the museum. i dont see 200 million any more.

I see about 175 mil now, same as Happy Feet.
I'm beginning to wonder if Charlotte's Web can actually win winter.

charlottes web will be big, but ithink happy feets gonna get roughly 240. its gotten INSANE tralier reactions every time ive seen it. like i said -cute loveable singing penguins for kids, holiday season release, holiday theme, nicole kidman as the mother, elijah wood as the son whose lost his way, and hugh jackman and robin williams singing=BOX OFFICE GOLD.

Yeah, I start thinking that we might be underestimating Charlotte's Web. It is very popular apparently. Eragon, Happy Feet and Charlotte's Web will all make $150+ million They won't be quite able to match the trio of Potter/Narnia/Kong, but I see the three making $600 million altogether. Last winter's trio made around $800 million.

Spoken like a true non-American.
The book is easily among the most popular childrens books of all time, and has been read by probably 3/4 of the American population under 30. Its gonna be big.
And I'm beginning to think Eragon is Lemony Snicket, Part Deux.

Same. Fantasy is big in the winter, yes, but Eragon is simply not as big or as culturally important as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Narnia.

This winter doesn't have the mega blockbusters of last year, but it has tons of quantity, overall I think it'll surpass 2005 actually. Aside from the 3 mentioned above, there's also Nativity, Night at the Museum, The Santa Clause 3, The Holiday, and so on. Those 7 could probably challenge 1 billion+ over the frame.
And by the way, Charlotte's Web is actually THE most popular children's book of all time, heh.

Fox should have had the trailer ready for X3. But even if they didn't, they missed the two other big opportunities, Superman Returns and Pirates. Big mistake.

I absolutely agree they messed up by not having the trailer with Pirates. However, I
disagree it will be the Lemony Snicket of this winter. Once the promotion starts, people will
start longing for fantasy and will go out of reflex. It won't be as big as the smallest grosser
of Narnia/Potter/LOTR, but it will be at least 50M bigger than Lemony Snicket. I see a gross
right now between 150-200M (and a LOT more internationally), with upside potential if it's really good.
