I don't know why really, but I'm really hyped about this. Aaron Sorkin, Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry, Amanda Peet, a series about the backstage workings of an SNL-type show? Sign me up immediately.

But, I'm hit and miss with Sorkin. Sports Night was a hit to me, while I never quite got into The West Wing. But, if there was anyone on The West Wing that I really liked when I saw it, it was Bradley Whitford. And I just love Perry, whether in a slapstick role on Friends, or a dramatic role.

And finally, anyone think this will be a big Emmy favorite, like The West Wing used to be? Could Whitford and Perry both snag acting nods at next year's ceremony?

I have also been very intrigued and lured by the show. Something about it. I will be checking it out.

And yes, Studio 60 is probably my most anticipated of the fall season.

I just added it to mine, as well. This show looks really good.

It looks like it could be good but I have my bets on the similar themed 30 Rock being better.

60 is an interesting idea but has the drawbacks of Stephen Weber, who seems like a nice guy but has never really learned how to act; Aaron Sorkin; and various actor writer refugees from West Wing.

30 Rock has Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin and a few SNLers. Who knows though, maybe both will be good, it could happen.

Aaron Sorkin is a *drawback*? Hell, no! He's the reason everyone's so excited about the thing. Give me Sorkin over Tina Fey and "some SNLers" any day. Alec Baldwin is a major casting coup, however.

It's also great to see Matthew Perry do a dramatic role, rather than continue down the comedy route (which he is great at, but he's done everything he can so far, with ten years of Friends under his belt).

Sports Night was great, and the first two seasons of WW was great, so I will at least check this out. But the buzz has not been good, from what I've seen. Also, do you think it will be backed up on Netflix? I've got it on my queue, too.

I watched the whole pilot from beginning to end. Man that sucked. I was really hoping for better.

I thought the pilot was okay, but it's nothing I'm in a rush to watch again. It picks up when Matt and Danny are on screen, I'm still going to watch it when it airs regularly but expectations are a bit lower for the rest of them now.

Great to see Amanda Peet and Sarah Paulson on the same show again (They were excellent in Jack & Jill). Pretty intriguing pilot, but I don't see this becoming the breakout hit that NBC needs. Although they won't be canceling the show since it will get them multiple Emmy nods.

Isn't it supposed to be set at a Saturday Night Live type show? Historically the comedians on there are very young and write a lot of their own material. Yet this show was basically about 40-50 year old guys in suits, and the writer-comedian who caused the big fuss at the beginning, Judd Hirsch, is 71 years old. For a show about a sketch comedy show I was surprised by the lack of young actors, even in passing. It was all so suffocatingly pretentious.

What I had hoped, and I guess this is just too low key to make it on TV was a kind of altman-esque behind the scenes look of interweaving stories, some ending happily, some sadly. It was doing alright in the first few minutes, when Huffman was complaining about her monologue and Hirsch was being told his sketch couldn't air. If it had kept in that mode it might have worked but from the on-air rant and after it just became The West Wing in a TV Studio.

So, like... A Prairie Home Companion?

I don't know. I'm kind of ambivalent about the pilot; I wasn't really impressed by any of the acting or writing or humor, but I'm now interested enough to keep watching. (Though I probably would have kept watching even if the pilot was terrible.)

I like where the story's going.

Somewhat. Not exactly like it no as that was an arthouse film and was a bit too artsy for this format. But in that general direction but more mainstream? Yes. Maybe like Prairie crossed with Grey's. I know we're not all fans of grey's but you get this gist. A dramedy I guess.

I can understand some people liking it, a lot of people liked The West Wing, but you have to admit it was an oddly older oriented show for a show about a sketch comedy series. And now that I think about it, oddly overwhelmingly white, in this day and age.

I thought the show was gonna be a comedy. I watched a bit of the pilot, it wasn't bad, but I probably won't be watching much of it.

It's worth checking out and judging for yourself.

I enjoyed it. I loved Sports Night and the first two seasons of TWW, and from the first scene, there was no question this was Sorkin. I think it needs to be polished up a bit, but it definitely has potential.

Before watching that you tubed ep, I had absolutely no desire to see this show. Now I'll be watching every ep. Call me crazy, but I thought it was brilliant.

Sorkin can thank me for lowering people's expectations so that they enjoy it more than they would have.
