 But you see theaters were able to make up some the the missed capacity from yesterday. It would have been 75m without the sellouts, so that extra 20m in people will tried to see it today. The gross without sellouts today would be 70m, but with yesterday you had 90m in demand. Now all of that was not met, but I think theaters probably were ready enough for 80% of it (that's still 18m of people leaving without seeing it, nearly as much as yesterday). Now that makes a 72m day. That 18m will come to see it tomorrow, plus you will have the 20m from Friday. So, that will add to what would be a 60m day. With 98m in demand Sunday I think they will do adjust even more and do better again with more interlocks and meet 85% of it. So, 83m Sunday.

210m weekend.

:hahaha: Having too much fun?

You think it's funny? :nonono:

Well, prove my argument wrong!

I'll just wait for the numbers to do that job for me.

But I could have gone in circles all night. I think that argument was more easily defendable then those used by Superman fans.

Actually I need to go soon.

 No. I would never call anyone a nasty name like that (or even imply) whether it was true or not.

Not true in your case as far as I know.

Only about 1200 written reviews were added so far today compared to the 9k ratings. Does this bode well for a lower ratio?

I can think of reasons either way. I'm not sure. But, that is a large drop in the written to total ratio.

Well, there was some significant clogging yesterday, so that could be why. We don't really track Saturday much, so it's hard to tell much at all. Just have to wait for Scott's or Notfabio's report and the numbers tomorrow.

Scott and Notfabio's places both sold out so much that I don't think it will tell us that much (well, maybe how early they sold out). I think the important question relates to the theaters out there that didn't sell out matinees on either day.

I'm expecting it to only make about 40m saturday though of course I'd like it to make more. But with 12m of the friday gross being midnight showings and then you subtract like 10% for a bit of sequel frontloadedness and it starts to look like 40m.

One of you guys on Monday should make one of those "Guess what it will make day by day" type threads, that we always used to do with movies like Reloaded or Sith.

First rumors for the weekend and Saturday are in:

http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/p ... ing-title/

Her sources are saying ~43M Saturday (just missing 100M in 2 days) and 133M for the weekend. I note she rounds down based on the other posts and have no idea how accurate her Disney sources are.

I would rather not be the one to start what could become the Saturday/weekend thread as I am horrible with charts and with the World Cup Final may not be paying attention at the appropriate time, so I am posting this info here and in the Friday numbers thread.

Both are on the old frontpage with Dupree having a photo, but the effect is getting smaller as more people transitioned to the new one. White Chicks had 159.39 on Wednesday and 167.25 on Friday. Given the trend, a PG-13 rating, and fine theater count for an urban film, I'm thinking 150 for Little Man. 100 for Dupree, as I expect the photo should help it at least a little bit.

EDIT: I guess we may just track Pirates as well even though it shouldn't give us more information than what we are already predicting from the daily numbers.

Sith's 2nd Thursday and Friday both got about 15% of its first in terms of reviews. However, Pirates will eaisly pass 1,000 today as it's gotten 12,000 since Sunday. Actually 3,800+ might be the number to look for.

well it was a half joke. i was implying "why do we follow such little films as these this early in the day? why not just look at it once at 3:30 am tonight? cuase the final numbers all that matter.
