Update:

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
2. Flags of Our Fathers
3. Saw III
4. Southland Tales
5. The Departed
6. Casino Royale
7. Paris, j'taime
8. The Holiday
9. Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
10. Volver

Surprisingly enough, the list isn't as filled out as I would of liked it to be. I want to see these films, but the top 3 are the only ones I'm really anticipating. Near the bottom of the list are so-so picks, I can't think of much else to put in there. I guess it's because I don't know much about the September-December releases aside from the big ones yet, none come to mind. Maybe after I ponder over the list for the night, I'll put in some better choices.

EDIT - Ok, I fixed it. Much better now.

No interest, really. I loved Collateral, but this one just isn't grabbing my attention. I'll probably wait for DVD.

Miami Vice is number one for me. An R-rated Michael Mann crime drama means gritty, stylized violence, good performances, good music, and great cinematography. I'm in.

Ok, update:

1. The Prestige
2. Saw III
3. The Fountain
4. Casino Royale
5. Rocky Balboa
6. Flags of Our Fathers
7. The Departed
8. John Tucker Must Die
9. Volver
10. The Holiday

Heh, my anticipation meter changes rapidly all the time. The Fountain and Prestige came out of nowhere for me, and I'm suddenly feeling a rush towards Casinio Royale and Rocky. Flags dropped a lot, while the other rearranged themselves. The first half of the year has been all blockbusters for me, so I'm a bit relieved the winter of pack of them stink so much that I'll be able to focus on the strong smaller flicks.

1. Flags of our Fathers
2. The Prestige
3. Hollywoodland
4. Miami Vice
5. All the King's Men
6. The Fountain
7. Casino Royale
8. Harsh Times
9. Departed
10. The Blood Diamond

Even though im kinda hating on Departed, after it comes out and gets a ton of mixed reaction i'll probably end up loving the shit out of it, like basically all of Marty's films in the past 20 years. Hell I thought Aviator was average at best when I first saw it, but the power of Marty changed my mind little by little now I love it.

On my radar:

01 The Science of Sleep (will be the best film ever made)
02 Paris, Je T'aime (will I ever see this? :()
03 The Prestige (finally saw the trailer, should be a blast)
04 Hollywoodland (amazing? a-maybe)
05 Shortbus (just saw the trailer, looks like heaven)
06 Little Miss Sunshine (coming soon, everything screams hilarious)
07 Miami Vice (Comes soon, looks pretty, collateral kinda sucked we'll see.)
08 Lady in the Water (soon)

There's obviously plenty others (southland tales, the fountain, lynch's latest? etc etc etc) but I haven't paid enough attention or watched enough trailers or read enough news to really get excited about em. Soon enough I'll get back in the swing of things.

The Science of Sleep is supposedly very mediocre and more of a "Human Nature" than "Eternal Sunshine"

My revised list.

1. Casino Royale. It's looking better the closer it gets to release.
2. The Prestige. It looks great, the only drawback is they gave so much away in the trailer.
3. The Good German. Noirish thriller in Post-war Germany, great cast and a director who can sometimes do a very good job.
4. Night at the Museum. It looks to be an all star fun family movie.
5. Paris Je t'aime. I don't expect it to be that good, but I want to see it because of the cast and directors.
6. Little Miss Sunshine. Haven't seen it yet, but plan to.
