I have to see some film footage or trailer to decide. I dont know if the effects or CGI looks as silly as Cat in the Hat

And it's Fox, too, so the marketing should be good. The only thing that'll hurt its three-day weekend is Christmas Eve falling on Sunday, meaning it'll be a four-day weekend, basically.

I saw the trailer with POTC 2.

And it got GREAT reactions.

People were saying that we should watch this movie this winter and it is gonna be loads of fun.

I say this movie might surprise this winter by doing $200+ million

I think it has a good chance to get to $150m.

The problem is Charlotte's Web and this come out the same week and also a week after Eragon.

I fear one of them will have to tank.

It was rushed to be on screen for X3 internationally instead of THE OMEN 666
trailer which was on-screen domestically and this was the only footage finished
back in May.

I would imagine the POTC 2 version will be online later this week.

Robin Williams and Owen Wilson are in it too, I can't wait. Maybe another Meet the Fockers type opening, though not the same kind of run, maybe 145 million total.

You know, I really feel like they read my mind. When I was in the Museum of Natural History in NYC last summer (in July), I thought that it'd be a REALLY cool idea if they made a movie with all the skeletons displayed there coming to life. A month later the movie was announced.
