the "What Went Wrong" threads must stop
...maybe not all together, but making a thread of this after 1 day of release I think totally stupid. So I propose these cannot be created for:
-a Wed release until the Fri# comes out, thus making it easier to see what the legs are like
-a Fri release until the Sat #comes out...making it easier to see what the legs are like
....I can just see already if Pirates of the Caribbean 2 makes only $30 opening day, people will call it a bomb, can everyone calm down with these threads...and don't get me started on the "club" threads...

Ghostooze, I think if we had it your way, we'd have one thread for all numbers, one thread for all crowd reports, and we'd have a total ten threads in the entire forum. You make a comment for every thread that's created.
Plus, that thread was created based on the $10 million figure MCN released.

Well if thats true, then why not lock it then open it again if Fri $s indicate bad legs?
I dont have a problem with crowd report threads or daily numbers threads, just the
-.....over $200 Club
-.....over $300 Club
-.....under $200 Club
-.....under $300 Club
all for the same movie, why not one thread for all of that movies clubs (or why not just put that in the movies predictions thread.
you have to admit, people are saying the same thing in like 3 different threads for Pirates and Superman alone

I think the What Went Wrong threads are horrible. It is part of the reason why the BOM box office forum sucks. Always a "What Went Wrong" thread for a film created by somebody trying to be overdramatic. I would rather the thread not pop up here too, like it has, even if it doesn't necessarily break a forum rule.
PEACE, Mike.

Well, we've seen like, what, two this summer? Superman Returns was created prior to the numbers even being released, but it became kind of a big discussion. Pirates was a joke that was locked.

Like mentioned earlier, if there's too many threads for one movie, people will only pick the interesting ones to post in, the boring ones will fall off the front page quickly. Natural selection.

Damn you, I was about to post that exact same thing!
Also, what about a "What went wrong thread," but ongoing, ie like the daily ratings thread. All a mod needs to do is add whatever film to the title when someone makes a post about a film going wrong in the thread. That way at least, it'll be more closed up, and easier to avoid if people don't want to see too many of those, but also not stopping anyone from making a post on that subject matter. Whichever films are the "big topic" can just getting added in temporarily into the title, and be left as an ongoing thread...

Perhaps Ghostooze should get out of the Box office Bash and explore the rest of the forums/site cause this is a silly complaint. He should take a peek at BOM, Now thats bad for "what went wrong" threads.
