Post Have you limited places you shop b/c of political donations?
I've started to...

Since the election, I've been a lil' more cautious of the places I shop. I've avoided Targee (for the most part), Domino's (Which I never really shopped at anyways), Hecht's, Circuit City, and Blockbuster Video (though it has more to do with the Last Temptation of Christ banning than anything else).

Here's one listing of places: http://www.buyblue.org/downloads/buyblue_bluexmas.pdf

Also, for the hell of it, I found this interesting (though it doesn't reflect Rupert Murdoch's PERSONAL desires): http://www.choosetheblue.com/newscorp.html

Well, Krem...

If 1/2 of the Democrats stopped buying from Circuit City, they'd all be turned into...Best Buys!

It's my money, and although I may make $500 of purchases a year or less, don't tell me I'm being irrational by not supporting privately owned businesses that use my money to support a cause I don't support.

Any business entity that tries to stifle free speech/art will not get my business, whether I agree with the speech or not. For that matter I did not even like The Last Temptation of Christ.

But I love republican leaning businesses that export high paying jobs to China and especially India :D

What he is doing is created social classes within other social classes. He's trying to divide people by doing that. I don't go on hating liberals and not buying anything that happends to be run by a liberal. I don't listen to Barbara Streisand because she's a liberal. I don't listen to her cuz she's a total douche.

I suppose I see what your saying. I don't think I should stop shopping at a certain store because the manager happens to be republican.

What did target and circuit city do?

CEOs are probably Bush supporters I guess. Why hate a whole company when it's only some who are republicans. It's sad to see what torrino is doing. Actually it's quite pathetic really.

Well the same logic applies to what torrino is doing. That is what is creating divisions in social classes that is already heavily divided. Soon if people go on and do that we're gonna have Democratic Middle Class, Republican Middle Class.

If 1/2 of Democrats started buying in Best Buy by default, then it would get even crappier than it is now, considering that it would lhave little to no incentive to be attractive to that group of people ;-)

Wal-Mart is a huge GOP supporter. It dumps truckloads of cash into any and all Republican causes... and that's why Dubya kisses Walton ass on a regular basis. Feel free to boycott Wal-Mart and Sam's Club all you want, because it promotes corporate imperialism and won't sell books IT deems offensive (like Jon Stewart's AMERICA.

Also, never stay at a Holiday Inn. (They're as Republican as they come. Their rooms even SMELL Republican - all cold and sterile.)

Costco, on the other hand, donates cash to the Dems... and it doesn't tell anyone else how to run their business, so do you all Christmas shopping there.

Also, you should buy your gf's gift at the Body Shoppe... and use Netflix for all your online movie needs.
