It's called being realistic. It's not wrong to adjust your ratio based on the film's performance throughout the day and other factors (crowd reports).
For example, I think the projected ratio for Sith was 250 or 300. After updates of over 1,000 throughout the day, the same projected ratio doesn't seem realistic anymore.

Superman Returns never had those "big jumps"... the only big jumps it had was when it became unclogged. The only factor pointing towards a higher ratio is Crowd Reports... and imo, Yahoo is slightly more reliable.

With a ratio of 170, Superman Returns has $24.1 million for the day, with 3 updates still left.
PEACE, Mike.

Im going to go ahead and raise my ratio up to 400.
Granted, I have no idea where this "ratio" comes from, but Im confident in my rationality.

Scott's theatre projection is $24 million, so I'm hoping Scott is right again.
PEACE, Mike.

is 5000 out of the question at this point? it is right? thats like 32 million. its defiently not clogged anymore, as it has 1300 written reviews, less the 1/3 of its ratings.

I think it has a good shot at $25M, perhaps even $27-28M (which includes midnights). I still see the ratio being in the 160-175 range, but I'd by lying if I wasn't a little worried about it pulling a King Kong Ratio of 200+. From all indications, this will have an excellent opening day, which should bode well for a solid (but not record setting) weekend.

No, a 52-review hour at 10pm on the west coast doesn't mean it's clogged again. We just need to take the number as it is and project from there.
