Excel, don't be too proud about "owning" Zing. He's owned you a couple of times. Everybody makes mistakes you know.

I think without those, the film made about 19.5m-20m as the reports are that it did a bit less than WOTW, excluding Tuesday previews. The Tuesday preivews are a bit hard to tell as some areas had good numbers while others did not. Either way, its OD is looking to be very solid and strong enough that WB can relax a bit. Legs of course are still unknown, but it is looking to have a great opening.
great opening...WEEK

I think you guys are underestimating the effect of IMAX on its legs. It may be able to look like it has good legs w/IMAX. BB had strong WOM but its IMAX numbers helped it look a little bit better than it actually was. I am not stating SR will have the WOM or legs as BB, but the IMAX will keep it from dropping 60% next weekend, etc.
And yes, I know IMAX is a small percentage of the theaterss, but a $20,000-30,000 PTA on its 2nd and third weekend from 80+ theaters will help.

The numbers for Mission: Impossible III were for the whole day, not until 8pm. It's still fine.

At this rate, it should finish with 4500-5000.

Though, a 200 ratio would seem too high using movies similar to Supes as comparisons.

It got 3212 reviews on it's opening wednesday (a 151 ratio and $21,256,483 on the wed).

Yeah... keep raising the ratio... that's rational...
You Superman doubters going to Plan B are ye?

I don't think your argument in particular flies. Spider-Man 2, which opened on this same exact weekend (on a wednesday) 2 years ago, had a 125 ratio for it's wednesday, and we all know that had huge rush.
Not saying it will necessarily be that low, and perhaps the ratio will be 200, but I think your argument doesn't fit.
PEACE, Mike.

I highly doubt this will get a higher than 185 ratio.
I say this still has a good 600+ reviews left... That's 4500
That's a 24.5 mil OD... Minimun...
I think it will be around a 165 ratio... so a 27.3 mil OD... Median...
