I actually meant to put in above $305m of the original but cant reverse my poll pick. Im thinking $320m which would be great. Its not impossible that it makes about $270m - but with little competition it should match or surpass the original.

It's the only uber blockbuster left this summer and so far none of the blockbusters have passed $250 million. Therefore, I can't see how it could not make more than the original.

So Wondering which of these POTC 2 will beat?

Saw the movie last night... it's still good and has lots of fun bits, but I doubt it'll have the legs of the first movie. Kids may be put off by it since it's darker than the first one and it's hard to understand a lot of what's going on cause of all the heavy accents. I'll go under $300 million on this one.

Wow, I didn't even see Goldie's response to my comments. I guess I'm to blame for getting him banned again. Sorry, guys.
