The way things are going over the past years, with comic book adaptations becoming better and better (BB>SM2>X2>X-Men), I shouldn't really be surprised if after seeing it I think Superman Returns is the best comic book adaptation of all-time (but I probably will considering the company it is in).

1. Batman Begins- A (Absolutely fantastic and it keeps itself completely grounded in reality.)
2. Spider-Man 2- A (Keeps you every bit as interested in the Peter-Mary Jane bits as it does the action.)
3. The Incredibles- A (Huge fun, and certainly among the best of all animation. Also Pixar's best film.)
4. Superman II- A (Spider-Man 2 owes much of its success to this movie, which is a classic itself.)
5. X2- A- (Terrific sequel that stays entertaining throughout.)
6. Batman Returns- A- (You either love it or hate it. I'm part of the former group.)
7. Hellboy- A- (Unconventional, yet highly enjoyable. They really need to do a sequel.)
8. Superman- B+ (Overrated, but still pretty good.)
9. Batman- B+ (Great entertainment, particularly for the eyes.)
10. X-Men: The Last Stand- B+ (An entertaining, satifying send-off for most of the characters.)
11. Batman Forever- B+ (I really can't explain this one. I think it's just damned entertaining.)
12. X-Men- B+ (Good start for a very good franchise.)
13. Hulk- B (Too long, and surprsingly, it's actually better before Hulk is smashing all that crap.)
14. Batman & Robin- D (It sucks. It sucks so much that it's almost fun to watch just how much it sucks. Almost.)

Of those films:

1. Batman Begins
2. X2
3. X-Men
4. Superman
5. The Incredibles
6. Batman
7. Spider-Man
8. Spider-Man 2
9. The Hulk

Haven't seen Superman II or, obviously, Superman Returns. Obviously this guy liked it.

Interesting, because I feel the same way about Batman Begins.

Yeah, where's The Phantom? The Shadow? Spawn? Daredevil? Elektra?!

As for me, I'd take out Superman Returns, bump Batman up to number 2 and replace Batman Begins with Batman Returns. Other than that, the list's pretty good.

Pretty sucky list. I mean, most movies deserve to be on there, but the order is really bad.

Absolutely agree!

Easily the best Batman adaptation, and one of the all-time best superhero movies...

Is The Mask of the Phantasm DTV or made-for-TV? I've heard a lot about it in the past few weeks of Superman anticipation, so I might have to check it out.

If I recall correctly, Mask of Phantasm was a big flop in theatres. Oddly, I don't think I've seen it.
