 Scoop Looks Awful
Admittedly, I'm no Woody Allen fan. Annie Hall and Match Point, that's it for me. But I was hoping against hope that Scoop would peak my interest. Great cast, GREAT CAST.
But the trailer,

It looks funny.
The only thing that kind of turns me off is that Scarlett Johansson's character exhibits Woody Allen-ish characteristics (nervous outbursts, tics, nebbishness) just like in some of his movies - eventhough Woody Allen is part of the cast.

Im not a fan of Woody Allen myself. In fact, I don't like a single one of his movies.

Only other Woody Allen film I saw was the absolutely dreadful Match Point. Thank goodness I didn't pay for that tripe as I would have been asking for a refund.
Anyway, I'll probably do the same with this, it looks horrid.

You said tripe! :-O
I'm a sucker for Allen's movies. Not that he is the best director... no way in hell... but I find them cute, above average, and passable. I mean, I even like his lesser hits like Small Time Crooks and (to a lesser degree) Hollywood Ending.... 'Course, I have seen some of the older ones but its been a while.

Sometimes I like Allen (Manhattan, Annie Hall, Match Point), sometimes I don't (Hannah and Her Sisters is dreadfully boring).
I thought the Scopp trailer ok.

It gives off a major Manhattan Murder Mystery vibe....which is good. Hopefully it's as sharp as that one, and not Melinda and Melinda-limp.
And, yeah, Christian, it IS weird to see Scarlett playing the faux-Woody character (like Cusack in BUllets Over Broadway or Branagh in Celebrity), since Woody's IN the damn thing. Not bad, just weird. We'll see what kind of comedy chops we have.
I love that he's reusing the "so-and-so is a [synonym for prick], [synonym for louse], and [synonym for shyster], and I say that with all due respect." I love that joke. I swear to god it's been in at least 5 of his movies.
