It probably will make $100 million total, but I just don't know anything about it yet.

Yours look good, although I would move Santa Clause 3 into Good chance, it being a holiday movie, I think it will do it. I am very tempted to call charlotte's web a locke it being based on a classic book. But I guess there is a chance it could be horrible which would hurt it. I think night at the museum has a good chance as well.

Do we have more than we did at this same time last year?

The Break-Up should cross 100 by this weekend, so I guess that would bring us up to...6? 7?

We are actually even with last year at this point we had 6
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
Madgascar
Hitch
The Longest Yard
The Pacifer
Robots
And Mr and Mr Smith made it on the 21 so it will be 7-7 once Break up makes it.

The locks I see from now on are:

Superman Returns
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Casino Royale
Happy Feet
Eragon
The Santa Clause 3
Click
The Break-Up

Miami Vice is a lock for $85 million, but I am not sure about $100 million.

Santa Clause 1 made $144, Santa Clause 2 made like $130something... Santa Clause 3 is one of the safest locks up there at this point.

I don't think it's a lock at all, especially with Flushed Away in the same weekend and Happy Feet two weeks after. It does have a good shot, though.

I hope not. I want this Tim Allen thing about him milking X-mas for his career to end

It's really the other two that should be worried about a family Christmas movie, an established franchise. Santa Clause 3 will still be making money well after Flushed Away has... well... gone down the toilet.

Not that this makes me happy, both of the SC movies are utter garbage.

Santa Clause 2 had Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets cutting through its legs and it had an eight year wait from the original and yet it only grossed $5 million less than the original, not accounting inflation. I'd say that bodes well for Santa Clause 3.

Deja Vu?

It's a Bruckhiemer/Tony Scott film. Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State. Denzel stars, and it's a sci-fi adventure (probably PG-13). I think it's almost a sure hit.

The Santa Clause 3 will make it. It is the DEFINITE Christmas flick this year. It will just have the legs. See Elf, The Polar Express etc. They don't even need to open big and yet they make it. A $25 million opening would already give Santa Clause a $100+ million total.
