Yahoo has not been updating that well lately. I wonder what the problem is? I'm working on a model that can project actual reviews from the written ones, but it will take awhile to compile.

Not too bad for The Omen so far. Glad I went with $18m for the derby.
Cars will need a $17m opening day to reach $60m this weekend. Or, 1,300 reviews using DP07's ratio of 80.

Not bad, but it was clogged the previous hour, so the last two updates have been around 85.

Ice Age II was over 1,000 by now, I think, but it also had the front page and it was a frontloaded sequel, obviously.

I went back to when we were tracking it and IA2 was at 450 as of 2:30, with the front page. Hedge had 162 at the same time. Of course, it's hard to tell to remember what time of day both appeared on the front page.
And in case no one noticed, Cars has been on the front page most of today, though I don't see it affecting the ratio much.

Decent for Cars. Odd that Prairie is inactive.

Frontpage doesn't change at different times of the day. I believe it's only midnight.

Wow I just came from lunch and the theater here in South Coast Plaza(its near a mall where I work in) was pretty empty, it hasnt been like this since Silent Hill. The times I did check around there was when MI3,X3,Davinci opened, their usually was around 40 or so people outside the parking lot(when Davinci and X3 opened), Silent Hill during that time had maybe 10 people standing outside. Today there was like only 15 or so people. I went back to work after that so there might of been more people but it was a little less than what MI3 had during that time. I think DP07 is almost right that Cars will open to less than 50 million. The yahoo threads dont look encouraging so its destined to make around that much
I salute you DP07 once again good call

Agreed with what you mentioned, I don't think being on front page in the new homepage affects ratio at all, because it's partially offset by the fact that it's harder to get the movie main in general on the new page outside that direct link. And not a lot of people like the new design or use it anyway.

Good. Pixar has become terribly overrated.

The pace is ok for Cars. Definitely not a 70m opener, but 50m is still achievable.

They do that during almost every hour, so we just ignore them and use the first update after half.
