Well for the first time in 32 years, Dick Clark will not be hosting his New Year's Eve special from his tradition Times Square spot. Wierd. I do remember when I was in middle and highschool and living in the burbs (having bad New Years Eve House Parties) that he would always be on in the background. It was kind of his trademark. The New Years Eve special that everyone tunes in to. Was there even another option?

Anyways, he had a stroke and is in the hospital. Regis Philbin is going to be filling in for him. I guess Regis is the new tv face for these events, and he's put in his time for sure, but Dick Clark's New Years Eve without Clark himself? Not to state the over obvious, but that hasn't happened since 1972! There are people on this board who haven't even been around half that long on this planet.

Yeah, in theatres, but I don't remember it, it was his weakest with the exception of The Big One. I never re-watched it. The only one I've watched multiple times if Roger & Me, which is by far his best, and F9/11 twice only becaus my sister hadn't seen it yet and wanted me to come with her.

The woman whose 6-year kid killed another one with a gun at school, worked many hours at Dick CLark's restaurant because of Welfare to Work, and that is supposedly the reason why she couldn't spend time with her son and why he became so violent.

I thought it was because in order to get there and back she had to get bussed a total of four hours or something? That they made her go two hours away instead of finding her something in her hometown? I think there was something about weapons production plant in their too. Meh, I can't remember, but I really don't think Clark is losing sleep over that. More likely, he's just 85 years old and had a stroke. Just a nagging suspicion I have.

Well, to listen to Michael Moore it was Dick Clark's fault as well as everyone else's for *gasp* expecting her to support herself.

What they really mean is that Dick Clark had a major malfunction, that caused him to short circuit completely. After all, he is a robot. How else could he remain ridiculously younger-looking than he really is. Only Steve Martin has been able to look the same for three damn decades.
