Post Jennifer Garner refuses to star in Dallas because of Lopez?
Quote:
Jennifer Garner reportedly turned down the role of Pamela Ewing in the upcoming "Dallas" movie, after discovering her husband Ben Affleck's ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez had signed to star in the remake.

The "Alias" beauty started dating her "Daredevil" co-star in July 2004 -- seven months after the actor ended his high-profile engagement with J.Lo.

Britain's the Daily Mail newspaper claims Garner was in talks to play Bobby Ewing's wife Pam, but backed out when she realized Lopez would be playing J.R.'s alcoholic wife Sue-Ellen.

A source says, "Jennifer Garner was really keen to be in 'Dallas,' but I think she felt there would be a bit of a strain between them on the set and that could have led to awkward situations.

"Both are totally professional, but there might have been a certain 'atmosphere,' and Jennifer Garner didn't need to go there."

By newspaper they really mean tabloid.
So the odds of this being true are like, not high.
Furthermore I think the fact that the Dallas movie is going to suck to bejesus might have also been a reason why Garner or, oh say, any actress with any brains in Hollywood would turn down this film.

Everything about it has already, quite publically, been screaming "stinker"

Catherine Zeta Jones also turned down the role.

No one knows. Likely because she knows its going to suck too.

Actresses do get sent scripts to read you know :D

That said, a lot of the news surronding the Dallas casting seems to be rumours and bullshit made up by mainly British tabloids who seem to be fascinated with it.

The Sun's Victoria Newton is probably the most devious liar out of all the major tabloids. She not only makes up stuff, but she does it to attack people and mould public opinion.

Her da vinci code versus xmen poll last week : "I personally thought the da vinci code was boring and dissapointing, not as good as the book" did she say anything about Xmen? No. After the results came in and xmen won, (unsurprising considering her readerbase is under the age of 4) she proccalimed "i have to agree that Xmen was better!"

Bitch needs shot. It's not that she manipulates her gullible minded readers, its that she does it so obviously. They MUST know. Sorry I've had a vendetta against this woman ever since i read her column for the very first time. She is a living nightmare.

It makes sense. It's likely not that she hates JLo and doesn't want to be near her, it's likely more the practical thinking that her husband will visit the set and she doesn't want to give him and JLo an excuse to hang out even if they are doing it innocently.

God I'm turning into Michael by analyzing celebrity gossip, someone put a stake through my heart.

It is already so painfully evident that the chances of this thing not being a disaster are pretty much nil.

It's humorous to me that a community dedicated to analysing box office numbers makes star gazing into some sort of hideously embarrasing thing.

Im guessing the fact that we all know what X3 made in its first weekend of US release is slightly more abnormal than knowing the name of Angelina Jolies babies.

Probably not a bad career move as well.

She made a good job of allowing people to forget by starring in nothing but for like, 7 years.

You mean since Monster in Law? :P

Lopez is a box-office draw as shown by Main in Manhattan and Monster in Law....but as an actress, I don't think she is good.

I disagree. People dont go to see Jennifer Lopez in films. They go because they like the concept. I definately dont think Lopez hurts the films she stars in as some people imply, shes likable enough. Shes functional in what she does.

Maid in Manhattan didnt blow the records away when it opened. Its concept sold it to a pretty good gross. The movie sucked ass.

Monster In Law was even worse, but again, a good concept and a strong all round cast helped it, Jane Fonda was the bigger selling point here though, as was reflected in the audience divide.

I think that is a good decision on her part. Besides, who want to be in a movie with Lopez? She is the bitch to begin with.

Good movie Jen G.
