WB's Last Ditch Effort To Sell SUPERMAN RETURNS..
I got to thinking about this supposed teaser trailer of SM3 being attached to a WB Product like SUPERMAN RETURNS and I'm gonna call it BOGUS and nothing more than a last dicth effort to put butts in the seats of this movie as a marketing gimmick.. What's the chances of this being true??? I ask this because of some folks at SUPERHEROHYPE claimed to have seen SUPERMAN RETURNS and the trailer wasn't attached??? Technically, it really would put butts in the seats for those who weren't going to see SUPERMAN RETURNS and become a good marketing technique, even if they had to lie about it.. Think about it: WB is going to show a MARVEL Teaser Trailer at one of their competitors instead of a WB owned property??? They know SPIDERMAN is a hot property that only BATMAN and SUPERMAN wish they were..

Yeah, I've got a feeling SUPERMAN RETURNS will cause alot of folks to .. But seriously, putting the SM3 teaser with this movie would be a significant way of bringing in more $$$ and if it isn't attached, then it's too late cause you already paid and got OWNED and are stuck as a captive audience..

The thing about the trailer is that it's boring. They're risking a lot just by trying to sell the name. The story is unclear, actually it is non existent. It just shows him flying. Well, we all knew he could fly. But what else? What is the conflict? Where's the villian? What's the story about. The trailer is definitely not sparking interest in the film.

I don't think it's going to bomb, but I do think it is going to underperform quite a bit. I want the music. I want the villian. I want to see superpowers. I want a lot more than they are giving. I loved Sperman II, I think it is the finest superhero movie of all time. And Superman is interesting, but this bumbled campaign should cost someone their job.

MOVIE TRAILERS DO NOT PUT BUTTS IN THE SEAT, BKB.
FANBOYS, MAYBE, MAKE UP .1% OF PEOPLE WHO GO TO THE MOVIES. THAT'S ONE THOUSANDTH. IF THEY ATTACH A TRAILER TO SUPERMAN (WHICH 25% OF THAT .1% WOULD ALREADY SEE, ANYWAYS), SUPERMAN MIGHT MAKE (GIVEN A $45 MILLION OPENING WEEKEND) $33000 MORE THAN IT ALREADY WOULD.
Can you guys stop bashing SR every chance you get? We get the point - it's gonna bomb. It isn't funny anymore. It's old.

Dumbass, you rear your ugly head after 6 Months to first get your collective panties in a wad over my colorful references to Gays, then bitch about my Column, NOW, your telling me that movie trailers don't put butts in the seats??? How about SW EPISODE 1 and it's teaser trailer a Year in advance before it was even released??? People were paying to see the trailer, then getting up and leaving.. With that having been said, I' not even looking forward to SUPERMAN RETURNS, but if it really is true about a teaser SM3 trailer being attached?? Sure, I'll pay to see it, then get up and leave and in the end, this will benefit WB and it's product.. Next time, Do your homework before you go spouting off at me, otherwise I'll pull your heart out..

The SM3 teaser is going in front of Talladega Nights. I doubt Sony will want to 2nd guess its audience who want to see LITTLE MAN.

Then you didn't read the aritcle then cause Raimi clearly said it would be SR and even then, I'm still not buying it and is nothing more than a marketing gimmick for WB cause of the negative press their movie's receiving....

BKB once again you are proving to me that you have no clue what you are talking about.. Do you really think theres a Chance Spiderman 3 could be on Superman Returns. Of course there is a chance and simpley because people that have seen the Superman movie and haven't seen the Spiderman trailer on it doesn't really mean that it won't be on the print.. You do realize that Screenings like that usually have no trailers on it at all. Also why would Raimi say such a thing in the 1st place. Is he being paid by the WB to say that? Or is it just to promoted Spiderman 3 a bit Earlier than TN which I doubt not a lot of people will see.
Also the thing about WB not allowing a Sony trailer to be on their film is ridculious. The reason being is that a lot of films allow other studios trailers to be on there movies. Just like Fox did with Superman Returns on X-Men 3. So you better rethink that.

again i say... people seeing this film will not be like BKB. the vast majority of people that will see this wont care about bryan singer, brandon routh, fanboys, whatever.
people dont care about movies enough to get pissed off by a shitty trailer.
theyll go see it no matter what... its critic-proof.
the only thing that i see hampering this is the marketing... its absent on tv as far as im concerned.
but ill say this...bkb assumes every movie goer is like him and they keep up on everything on the net... the fact is that they dont... they dont give two shits. the movie comes out, theyll see it, and theyll go home. theyll buy the dvd when it comes out and wait for a sequel.
280 million. guaranteed.

I just want to make certain I bookmark this post here cause I'll use it as Ammo when this movie takes a bath at the box office and Singer begs FOX to let him do X4 to get back in the good graces of every fanboy he let down by abandoning the X-MEN franchise in favor of redoing Donner's SUPERMAN movie's with his own, right down to a CGI Marlon Brando.. And lose the 280 Million is Guaranteed nonsense.. Nothing is Guaranteed in the world of movies nowadays.. If this were true, MI:3 would've done considerably better than what it did..

At least Routh is not jumping up on a couch acting like a crazy person
What I wonder is where is the marketing for this movie? I mean does the public that doesn't follows movies on online or read movie magazines even know the movie is coming out? How about some tv spots, some actors on the talk show circuit, anything.
