Argh, I'm like 3 episodes behind. I've had soccer practice while it runs in Canada at 7, and AI at 10. Add that to the Oilers' run, and it's been impossible. I have a torrent of my next episode, I'll try to watch that tonight.

Quote: Snrub wrote: No, Sayid told jack that michael has "been comprimised" and that he is not trustworthy. Then jack the genius wanted to approach michael about his duplicity, but Sayid said that they could use this to their advantage. jack was then like "what? i dont understand because i am deeply retarded", and then Sayid said that if michael thinks they all believe him, and the Others that michael made some kind of deal with to get Walt back believe that everyone trusts michael, that this might be exactly the kind of opportunity they need to get a jump on the Others. jack asked how they would to that exactly, and Sayid said to give him the night to think it over. Hence, Sayid is the only person with a brain. What's with the spoils? There's nothing remotely spoilerly about that post. It merely reiterates Sayid's ability to notice when something's up, and Jack's ability to be a dumbass.
While "Three Minutes" wasn't as bad as an episode as some of the fluff here makes it out to be (indeed, the Sawyer moments sparkled), I do agree that Jack was scripted really poorly in the episode in order to stretch it out. It would have been better if Jack turned to Sayid at the end and was like "I know, I agree, we should see how this plays out."

A giant statue of a foot with 4 toes.
Michael being surprised to find his gun didn't have any bullets in it.
Hurley thinks a giant parrot said his name.
Desmond's back story is pretty interesting and watchable. If he survives he'd make a good new cast member.

Seconded! Very good finale, I thought.
Besides the WTF ending..I'm guessing that since the computer at the end by the Portugese dudes said, "Electromagnetic activity detected," that means that they found the island where the Losties are stranded on. That is why Penny Widemore said, "Where is it?" (or did she...I forget!) She has found where her beloved Desmond is (even though he's fried crispy now). I sense there are going to be a lot of pissed-off fans who are going to be mad by the somewhat ambiguous ending. Who knows? I could be right?
Check the above paragraph for a possible explanation for the ending, people!

It was good until the ending. But then, WTF?
It's too bad that they found the island, because Desmond is dead anyway. And how would they even know to look for electromagnetic activity?
The rest of the episode was brill. Desmond's flashback was awesome. But that ending... stupid. Ruined the rest of it.

Nope. Not kidding. The people on CHUD seem to be saying the same thing. Penny (not Percy- stupid spelling mistake) has found Desmond's location- the Losties' island- with the help of those researcher dudes. I guess...CRAZZZY.

Lecter and others who haven't seen it yet, don't read this.
Whatever flaws people might find it was still easily the best episode of this season and a much better finale than last year. I really liked the Desmond character, and it's a shame he apparently died. His was the only interesting backstory this year, didn't bother me at all watching those flashbacks.
I know Michael (H. Perrineau) is not back next year as a regular. It looks from the finale like Walt won't be either.
I dont think people will be pissed off by the ending because you expect some cliffhanger crypticness on a finale. What bothered people last year was they gave no answers, they *only* had cliffhanger mystery last year, no balance. At least we got some answers this year: 1) Gale is the leader of the others 2) Pushing the button really does do something 3) What caused 815 to crash and a few other things.

To answer Trixter, Penny knows about Dharma, the island, and the electromagnetic stuff because it's been implied multiple times that her father's company (Widmore corp.) is in cahoots with Hanso. The real question is, how does she know that Desmond is stuck on the island?

Yes, roland's take was mine too. It gave the impression Des's gf had been searching for him and with that EM pulse found him.

I agree with you Archie, I think it was a very good episode... up until the end. They could have had a much better cliff-hanger, IMO.
And I refuse to believe that Locke, Eko and Desmond are all dead. Why would the writers kill off three of the most popular characters, and let Charlie live? It's stupid.
I remember hearing something said by the guy who plays Michael that nobody dies in the finale, so I'll stick to that. It's just hard to fathom them killing off all three of those characters.

Question: At the end, were the Russians (I assume they were Russians because they were playing chess and all Russians portrayed on TV love chess ) on a plane or in an arctic research station? MY TV was staticky and I couldn't tell if the backgroud was clouds or barren snow-covered land. I suppose having a phone on a plane would be odd, which is why i think it's a ground based station, but my friend insists they're on a plane, so I'm not entirely sure.
