So that's assuming it disappoints the audiences. It's interesting to see how well it does if it doesn't disappoint and is as acclaimed, if not more laudable, than the first one. _________________

I guess im struggling to predict this one as im not in the target demographic - age 13 to 21, mainly females. However, I just cant see these $400 and $500m totals.
Granted - I can see a huge opening. The first made $75m five day - so I can see this doing about $90-$100m 3 day. A $290-$320 final should result.

Holy Crap my theater is already taking preorders for Dead Mans Chest! If that doesn't tell how big people people think this is going to be I don't what does. They started taking preorders for Cars I think on the 19th this month and I thought that was early.

I think if this movie is not number one and does not make over 300 Million, it will be a dissapointment in my eyes. Im expecting great things. I just hope they are not only advertising this as "Jack Sparrow's Movie", even though he is one of my favorite characters ever. Almost a month away...!!

Considering ROTS and HP 4 2nd weekends were holidays, I gotta say that Pirates matching it on a non-holiday weekend is pretty damn good.
