Damn, a lot of religious fanatics writing bad reviews. Thats nuts. Im catholic, Im going to see this movie in an hour. I dont think that we should let our religions govern what fiction we chose to enjoy, and I think any truly sensible catholic should be able to see that their religion is not 100% fact, Infact I think the same is true for every religion, there are layers of fabrication that hide the truth in every single religion across the world. Which is why I understand how people can become athiest.

Maybe it's also that the people that always grade movies (any by extension take time to write reviews) actually decide to grade it ahead of time rather then on a whim, thus lowering the ratio. It'd explain why there's such an unproportional amount of written reviews vs. regular ones... Either way, I definitely would agree that tonight could have some veerry low ratios...

What ratio did we decide on for See No Evil? Does 180 sound about right?

Just for learning purposes, why do you think 300? I said 180 because American Haunting had a ratio around that and See No Evil's TC is almost as low.

Lower theater count is a factor. R rather then PG-13 increases it a bit as well since teens who sneak in might review it, but not count at the BO. Plus, the blood and gore attracts an audience that is more likely to grade online.

Da Vinci Code 421, +96, B-
Over the Hedge 65, +7, B+
See No Evil 71, +14, B+ (up from B)
WWE fanbase could also be a factor for a higher ratio.

What's interesting is that the majority of positive reviews being posted for The Da Vinci Code are all from a single yahoo member known only as Ronaldo Howardo...
More interesting still is the photo "Ronaldo" has in his Yahoo Profile...
Pay particular attention to the signature...

It's really too early to tell. There haven't even been any major spikes yet.

I think the christian fanatics are bringing that grade down. I honestly believe the audience is enjoying it, or at least I hope.

I think the christian fanatics are also artificially inflating the numbers. The majority of the people grading it won't have even seen it.
This should mess the ratio up something rotten. Right now, I'd say it's looking at a $15 million opening day, leading to an opening weekend total of something like $35-$45 million.

its 12 in the afternoon
you're telling me that in the 12 hours that its been out (12am and 10am shows at best), the first people to run out and see this film were the christian fanatics as opposed to the fans themselves?

I think he means christian fanatics are just grading the movie badly without even seeing it.

Well I doubt that per say but I am sure there are people out there voting it poor grades out of spite. Of course how many people are doing that is a complete unknown.
