Unlike the Oscars, most of the frontrunners come out in the first half of the year. So we're in prime real-estate right now!
Anyway, Sharon Stone should have a lock on Worst Actress. It's rare that such a dud and critical failure receives as much media attention as BI2, so that should help her chances of "winning" significantly.

Basic Instinct 2 has virtually every category locked up. The perfect storm of terrible reviews, box office bomb, and huge press will push it over the top. It's kinda like this years Catwoman or Gigli, only worse.

I don't think Basic Instinct 2 should be nominated for anything, really. I'm sure Sharon Stone will get nominated, but she doesn't deserve to. She, along with the movie as a whole, wasn't that bad.

I don't think anyone is saying Basic Instinct 2 deserves to be nominated. It's going to happen, though. The Razzie's are more about press than actual bad movies.

The Da Vinci Code is exactly the kind of critical dissapointment the Razzies love to nominate (Pearl Harbor, Alexander, etc.). And they'll probably give a special award for Tom Hanks' hairdo.

I still say Basic Instinct 2 will win Worst of the year as DaVinci will be too big of a hit to win; especially if it ends up as the highest grossing film of the year.

I think Da Vinci's BO performance will save it from actually winning any major awards, as they usually love to awards films that also flopped at the B.O. (Catwoman, Gigli, Swept Away. . .). It's stil, BI2's to lose.

I'm also on the "BI2 and Sharon don't deserve to be here" boat, but yeah, it'll sweep... meh
but if we really look at past winners, [s]some[/s]most of them are really not that bad at all... specially Lyne's Indecent Proposal (and let's not forget that The Shining was nominated for 2 Razzies, including Worst Director for Kubrick, lol)

I love the idea of giving out awards to the worst of the worst, but the Razzies are just awful. Seriously, George W. Bush for Worst Actor? In a freakin' documentary?!?
Now, as far as Razzie contenders go, someone needs to give Uwe Boll a Razzie after he "lost" last year for Alone in the Dark.
