Yeah, it looks like the season average is going to finish just barely above last season's average of 2.5 million. But next season, with a good lead-in, actually promoting, and no more pre-emptions, along with actually reaching most of the country, I think it could average around 4 million, at least, and build up even more in its 4th season.
Mr. X, yeah I caught that. I wonder if it's Rob sending us signals, or just an inside joke.

That season finale was just whoa! It was so captivating! I loved it so much. So many twists and turns. I just started watching this show a few weeks ago, and I really regret that. I'm going to buy the first season on DVD so I can catch up with it. Kirsten Bell is so talented, and I love her. This show is really one of the best on television, and I've only seen two episodes. It's so underrated. It should be more widely viewed that's for sure. I can't wait till the third season premieres!

Now is the perfect time to get season 1, as it's on sale for $30 on Amazon. Season 2 comes out August 22nd. I'm glad you weren't scared to watch without watching everything before now. I think its biggest downfall is too many people don't want to come in mid series, but don't want to bother with catching up.

Many of the twists and turns up until now were probably spoiled for you in the season finale, Vincent, but the show is still enjoyable. It's my second favorite show on TV right now, after 24.

Thanks so much for the advice! I'm definitely going to buy it this week.

I also saw it at Target this Saturday for $22 but that sale might be over.
Gilmore Girls 1-5 was also on sale for $22 and the OC seasons and OTH seasons. But it might have ended already.

And in Canada S1 is on "sale" for 49.99 at Best Buy, which is better than the 74.99 HMV is charging.
I think I'll just wait until S2 comes out and maybe they'll have some joint offer with both of them.
"It's liquid. It's courage. It's liquid courage." great finale.

I think the sale at Target is over. But I got two people hooked on it because of that sale!

2.42 million viewers for the season finale, up from the episode previously and it definitely did build in it's tuesday time slot i think about half a million viewers.
hope they look at the positives here.

Berman calls those the final national numbers. So is that different than the number he didn't have yesterday? Because I know the site I follow VM ratings on ( http://marsinvestigations.net/media/20/ratings) lists the Media Week numbers, and the final numbers, and the final numbers are always less than the Media Week numbers. But if 2.42 is the final number, it's a very nice improvement over last week (2.09) and will keep the season average at slightly above 2.5.

let me just resurface this thread.
and say it will be here next time next season.
i'm so so so so so so so happy about it's renewal
even though we've been pretty sure about it for awhile.
this thread had grown soo much since last season.
and i can't wait for next season.

It feels great after all the campaigning we've done on the forum.

Nice. He's grown on me this season, way moreso than Beaver did. So... good.
So... when will Lisa Rinna come back as Logan's mom?

I was really expecting her to come back in the finale. But then the little kid served a different purpose. And you know, we only saw blood splatter on the tv. How do we know Aaron is really dead?

Heh. Watching "24" has made me doubt that anyone is dead on TV, even when they're shown getting killed. So, I have no problem believing Aaron is alive.
Heck, I didn't see them scraping Beaver... err, Cassidy, off the pavement. He's ALIVE! I know it!!

If Veronica Mars has any shot at getting a few Emmy nominations (I really honestly don't know if it does), then I'd love to see Kristen Bell be nominated, as well as Enrico Colantoni. They have the greatest father-daughter relationship on TV that I've ever seen.

I'm probably delusional, but I really think Kristen Bell has a chance at a nom. I don't think the show does, but I would really love to see her nominated. And either Enrico Colantoni or Jason Dohring would be my pick for supporting, but I doubt either of them will get it.
How does one go about finding out what episodes were submitted for Emmy consideration? I really think the last three should go for Kristen Bell.

I think once season 2 comes out on dvd and we can sit down and watch it straight through, it will improve. The biggest problem with it was that they took too long to really get into the bus crash. There was too much time spent on Duncan side stories in the first half, which is a big part of why I can't stand the character. But I have a couple friends who I got hooked on the show right before the end of season 2, so they watched almost all of season 2 straight through, and couldn't find any problem with it. In my opinion, the last five episodes of season 2 beat out the last five episodes of season 1, and in a show like this, it's the end of the season that matters the most.

maybe i'm liking 1st season more because it seems more fresh and crisp or because its been longer since i've seen these episodes.

I think the first season is definitely better. Season two is still great, but could have been better. I'm hoping for a great third season.
Also, I really liked Beaver...... until the end that is.
