The First Semi Annual World of KJ Poster Awards
Ok. Here I am. Your Host. Me. With no welcome to the awards speech ready. Oh the joy. So, uh....welcome to the awards :-D
Hope you're all having a great time. I see a few of you have already had more than your good share of drinks. Or just forgot to wear diapers...
Um, yeah.
So where shall I start? AS I mentioned in an earlier post some weeks ago, I'm not sure I like the direction in which the awards were heading, with everything being taken so seriously. So...some of us were completely forgetten *sniffle* it's not like we'll try to commit suicide by slitting your wrist, only to find out you did it wrong so now you bled, you're angry and they're like"Ro....err...snubee, you have to be in therapy for the next couple of months to make sure you're safe form yourself" and all for nothing!
But yes, the awards should not be taken all that seriously. So don't be sad if you were snubbed. We still love you. Very much. Not me personally, but I'm sure others on here do
But regardless of a few incidents, the past couple of weeks during the nomination process, I'm here and I hope you'll have a great time, so let's get this things started!

Our first, and perhaps most competitive awards this evening is for biggest moviesbuff...this is after all a movie site. It is a movie site right? Well, it was...kinda. But it's competitive cause I say it is. To make matters worse (or...better?) moviebuff can mean many things. We have a wide range of movie buffs here that, um, range from our fantastics predictors, to our oscar trackers, to dedicated box office followers, and the list goes on and on. Also, time goes and on and writing these things last minute is freaking hard, so our wondeful nominees for biggest moviebuff this year are ...
Archangel
box_2005
dolcevita
Dr. Lecter
Zingaling
And then you realize a little guy by the name of Joey has already written a complete much better speech for the award, blah...*rewinds*
Biggest Moviebuff
Written by: Mr X.
Moviebuff. The Xster's English Dictionary describes the moviebuff as someone willing to maintain their cover during the daytime, with a largely boring dayjob, but by nighttime, the moviebuff really lets loose. They see movies, they discuss movies with friends, they sleep while movies are playing on their TVs, they basically eat, breathe and live movies. If these people devoted their lives to anything else, they may seem useful to others, but worthless to us. Moviebuffs make the box office forums, and without further ado, your voted top five moviebuffs inside the World of KJ:
Archangel - Archangel is a first time KJ nominee, but an all the time moviebuff. With his sleek movie knowledge, and attention to details in the weirdest of places, Archangel sets himself apart as an international moviebuff. He takes the cake as my choice to win.
box_2005 - box_2005 is also a first time KJ nominee, with one large heart of moviebuffery. Somedays, I'll see him running down the streets proclaiming "I'M A MOVIEBUFF AND YOU ALL SUCK", and I just laugh and think to myself "There goes that box, always being a joker." box_2005 takes the prestigious "Mr. X Predicted Winner" award.
dolcevita - Dolcevita. Where do we begin? Well, she is also a first time KJ nominee, and one of the prettiest darn posters on this board. That may not say much, with the likes of Rusty, bABA, Tony Montana, and yours truly, but I can guarantee she is one pretty KJer. Moviebuffing it up with friends and family, dolcevita is known in her hometown as Miss Moviebuff 2004. She receives all my praise, and my congrats, as I say she will take home all the marbles for this one.
Dr. Lecter - A first time KJ nominee, but a first class cannibal, Dr. Lecter is well known in his homeland as a man who loves his movies, so much that he has adapted the role of Dr. Lecter and has since starred in many local plays, in such modernized classics as "The Lecter of Oz", "It's A Wonderful Cannibal", "Romeo and Lecter", and my personal favorite, "MacLecterbeth". What a man! I say he will run away with this award.
Zingaling - My Zingaling! My Zingaling! I want you to play with my Zingaling! Ah yes, Mr. Zingy. The Z, for short. Yet another first time KJ nominee, Zing proves that you can be a moviebuff and still have a ridiculously hilarious name like Zingaling. Born under the watchful eyes of polar bears, Zing found his true calling for the cinema, and left his family at the age of 6. He became one with film, and introduced himself to modern classics. Zing remains a loyal moviebuff today, and I say he will take home the award for all his hard work as a moviebuff.
