Not too many big surprises.
"Scrubs" and "Crossing Jordan" will return this midseason, while the Sunday schedule will change to this:
8pm: America's Got Talent
9pm: The Apprentice
10pm: Raines (Jeff Goldblum drama)
And a few other midseason pick-ups.

Damn, we're going to have to do the waiting thing for Scrubs again.
Quote: 10-11 p.m. "ER"/("THE BLACK DONNELLYS" in January 2007)
What does that mean? Are the planning to move ER, or will they finally cancel it after only 13 episodes? (I know it's the former, but I'm holding out hope that it's the latter.)

ER will air non-stop new episodes until December, then the Black Donnellys will take over for however many episodes, then ER finishes its run in March or April. I'd say Season 13 will be the last, if Donnellys does well.

I prefer waiting for it all in one block to having new episodes in fits and starts. I wish more shows (namely Lost) would start doing it.

But Scrubs isn't the type of show that needs to be aired that way. Continuity is not an issue.

Thursday looks great, that Studio 60 is the dramedy about a SNL type show isn't it? Most likely the best new show this fall.
I wonder what Kidnapped is about. It would be cool if it was referring to the RL Stevenson pirate book but somehow I doubt it. Probably something a lot more boring.
Edit: Ok I looked it up. Yeah kidnapped looks boring. But Raines and Studio 60 will probably be at least mild hits and stick around. The Black Donnellys is not going to work, way too grim.

I'd love to see Earl, Office and Studio 60 breakout next year.

NBC's schedule certainly looks a lot better than it did last year, that's for sure.

Not great news for ER. by blocking a show that does not necessarily need to be blocked together, NBC are showing they have low confidence in its ability to fill the timeslot for longer than a few months with any form of profitiblity.

Well, considering the repeats for the show get about 6M viewers, its a pretty smart move.

Thursday is looking great. And I think that's a more appropriate time slot for both Earl & The Office.
Wouldn't that be funny if Studio 60 turned into a big hit, thus upping ER's ratings? (In its 13th season!)
I'll be tuning into 20 Good Years. And maybe Heroes.
What's 30 Rock?

30 Rock sounds a lot like Studio 60, but a sitcom. It's a Tina Fey thing all about writing a sketch comedy show. Or something.

They should move law and order sv unit to Thursday nights in ER's slot.

Thanks for doing that Libs. I'll do that for the other networks over the next few days.

I voted 30 Rock. I wasn't aware of that program till this thread. Tina Fey is a good comedy writer and while Alec Baldwin wasn't much of a movie star, he might be fine on TV, he usually does well on SNL.
I'm also looking forward to the 60 Sunset show and I expect it to do well. But the Fey show has me intrigued because it could be meh or should could hit it out of the park.

Curse you NBC! The only show I watch on that channel (The Apprentice) is not only off the schedule till January, but when it returns it will be up against Desperate Housewives? I'm worried about what this means for The Amazing Race on CBS, which is doing worse than this season's Apprentice on a network that's doing much better than NBC. I'm a total reality junkie and if Survivor is the only big network reality show on this fall I will be sad.
The only new show I'm interested in is Heroes. The comedies sound semi-interesting but they're up against Lost so no thanks. And sorry NBC, but there is no such thing as an "inventive police drama." Overall, I smell floppage all around. I think maybe Kidnapped has the best chance of survival but it's much too soon to tell. Studio 60 seems like one of those high-profile disappointments. Deal or No Deal is starting to cool, My Name Is Earl/The Office proved this season they can't carry Thursday nights, and aside from SVU the Law & Order franchise is fading. They should thank their lucky stars they got football.

I'll definitely watch Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, I hope Sorkin doesn't disappoint.

I thought Football was moving from ABC to a non-main network channel. I didn't know NBC has it now
I wonder how that's going to fair against Housewives. I think it might actually take a tiny bite out of its audience. I know how crazy that sounds but I could see alot of guys watching it with their wives/girlfriends or whatever. Not a significant amount but looking at how low this season has dipped (compared to the first), it could hover under or around 20 million next season.

ESPN got Monday Night Football, but gave up Sunday Night Football, which NBC picked up. Kinda tricky to wrap your head around, but it makes sense. Really!
