Hoot 85, +5, C+
An American Haunting 111, +10, B-
Including of course the reviews that were subtracted. I really hope it gets unclogged next hour.

Gotta be kidding me. Yahoo needs a better auto-update system. Everything with the site feels requiring a lot of manual labors.

Well, it does seem that American Haunting as doing well, Hoot is decent, and MI3 seems poor.

Doesn't look all that good for American Haunting.

Well, I could see it reaching 5m which would beat most predictions.
Still slightly clogged I think, but it should hopefully be clear after the next update.
I can't see MI3 reaching 3,000, maybe not even 2,500. 20m today now looks tough IMO.

Like I said earlier, MI3 is much more Cruise image driven than WOTW was, so we should be starting to see the TomKat effect with this film to an extent.

Yes, it looks likely that we were right.
The mediocre reception for MI2 doesn't help either.

The way I see is that Haunting will need 350 reviews today for a possible $5m weekend (may need higher with the way its grade is dropping), and the last update is like a 3-hour update, so I think it'll only average about 25 per hour at best for the busiest part of the day.

With the clogging though I think it can reach 210 next hour. That would be enough to set it on pace for at least 320 or so.

About 4.5 times as many ratings as written reviews, which would be really poor, or it's still clogged.

I agree. I don't think these Yahoo! numbers are very accurate.

Could be another clogged week like a couple weeks ago. Definitely seems slow. Some have reported that the May 5th celebrations might be having an effect but looking back at 200 when the 5th fell on a Friday it had no effect on the weekends new openers (Gladiator had a normal IM for its genre).
Theatre reports have mirrored what we are seeing here though. Its starting to look to me as though M:I:III will be lucky to break M:I:II's 3 day tally of $58m.

MI3 only needs $20 m + opening weekend for us to beat last year's top 10, and that's whats most important to me at least. We need to start the summer on the upside, even if MI3 does underperform. Granted, this is imo the 2nd biggest test of Cruise's career, behind only Eyes Wide Shut.

Well like around mid-may Star Wars last year and Shrek 2 the year before, we wont have a true jaw dropping numbers till X-3 opens

Only two hours left too and it would end up with less than 2000 reviews. I would say something below 20 million is in store too judging by the crowd reports from people who work in theaters
