I'm shocked shocked shocked!!!

I loved this movie!!!

I can remember exactly how boring 'The Thind Red Line' was. I never thought I'll enjoy this movie this much. I always thought the best thing that will come out from my opinion is 'Well, it's really beautiful'. But I really did enjoy it (must be my very very very low expectation). Q'Orianka Kilcher is amazing!
Heck! I even think it's actually one of great romantic movie I've seen in many years.
**** (A-)

I watched it again, and I just can't hope onboard the cult. The movie, in its present form, is a shapeless, awkward misfire.

The third act, or the "Christian Bale act', if you will, is the worst offender.

New World dissenters, rise up against this fascist, New World-worshipping fascist KJ regime! Don't be swayed by the overwhelming popular opinion around here. Make your voices heard!

The posters should not be afraid of the New World; The New World should be afraid of the posters. Remember, remember, why they delayed it from November!

Wow! You have to meticulously jot down notes about their reactions. I want to know!

I watched this again yesterday, and I must say that this did not lose it's spark. It was just as good, if not better, then what I remember it being. Very very good.

I anticipate three people will like it. Out of 60.

Here's hoping!

My closest group of friends was enthusiastic about the choice, the rest not so much. It was this, or Downfall. They weren't very interested in the subtitles.

This over Downfall?

I hope you and your class will be raped by Hasselhoff.

Probably.

If anything, you'll be impressed with the score and cinematography.

I expect you'll appreciate other aspects as well.

I'm confident that you'll be one of the people who were impressed by the visuals and stuff, but disliked or was disappointed by the film overall.

I guarantee it.

Darn. I thought it was a review.

Hehe... I think you'll like it, though.

Me thinks I'll watch it again once I get Netflix back.

I caught the last 1/4th of it last night at my friends house, and it reminded me why I loved it so much.

It is just such a beautiful film. Captivating, mesmorizing. I really need to just go out and buy the DVD so I can watch it in its entirety again.

Well, I rented it again tonight after this thread reminded me it was due for DVD release. Lets see if it holds up on second viewing!

Initially everyone was interested in the movie, but gradually everyone became lost.... I attribute this to the poor sound system on the TV. It was a stretch to hear the monologues, which were pretty much whispered. My closest friends stayed close to the TV with me and they were all enthralled in the movie...

It'll take two more days to finish, I anticipate. We are at the point where Smith is just chosen to lead the colony, after returning from the Native tribe.

Great great stuff.... though some have complained it plays out too much like a National Geographic story.

A Dk movie always scores between 80-100% on RT. Nothing less.

So no. It's not a Dk movie.
