As long as they do away with the recall storyline, I'm happy.

not a good idea, i thought that part 2 already suffered from a lack of freshness. those uncreative bastards from disney only have quick cash in mind. i'm afraid disney is going to ruin pixar, 20 years from now we can look forward to straight to video productions like a bugs life 3 and nemo vs. pinocchio.

TS2 was a great sequel to an all-time classic animated movie. I retain hope that the second sequel will also be great. And I'd love to see all the secondary characters again...

Don't think its going to matter. Pixar has a name to keep and I doubt they are going to be like, "eh we don't want to do this so we're jsut going to make a sub-par movie."

I mean, yes it is kind of an unnecessary sequel but it is one I will welcome openly because its the sequel to the greatest CGI film ever made.

doesn't matter. the thing about pixar is that they've always kept creative control. they make films when they want to, about what they want to .. otherwise they don't make them. this won't be the case with TS3. This time, they're forced to go out and look for a story instead of their being one in the first place.

If Pixar is overseeing it, I am all for it.

Here's a sneak peek @ Pixar's "forced to" TS3 script:

Buzz is so strung out on crack that he accidentally kills Jesse during an extended lovemaking session. Woody steps in as his lawyer (a la Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington), and through a stirring closing argument, succeeds in saving Buzz from the electric chair and gets him committed to the toy asylum. Further wackiness ensues as the other toys try to help him escape...

Hey, it's Pixar, so I can't imagine it could be too bad. I'm all for it as long as it isn't just a quick cash-in on the series.

I know you're half joking, but I remember a while back the head of either Pixar or Disney (or both?) saying no way in hell will Pixar stoop to that level when it comes to its movies.

1. Pixar rocks.
2. Toy Story (as a series) rocks.
3. Therefore, Toy Story 3 will rock.

There's some damn good deductive reasoning there (I hope).

PEACE, Mike.
