Shouldn't Lena Olin be guest star for Alias and not supporting actress?
So far she's been in 2 episodes and if she's in every single one from here on out then it will only have been 5.

Let's pretend you didn't say that. You saw the entire season right?

Four out of 17 surely qualifies as supporting?
I mean Ive seen actresses on dramas nominated for supporting with a similar level of participation.
That said i was also a bit unsure as to wether she should be guest or supporting. Her character is VERY important and VERY prominent in the few episodes shes in though.
As for Brad Cooper. I really had to debate with myself wether he or Gina Torres should be put up in the category. Beacuse i prefer Torres' character, but I really think Will was better in his comeback.

So far, some nice FYC campaigns! I guess this means that, when nominating does start (not until at least the end of the season, which is May 24th), the categories will remain the same?

More than 6 episodes of appearance qualify as supporting at the Emmys. I assume it will be the same here?

Yep, same here. We established that last year.
I guess this can be used as an FYC campaign thread, or should I create a new one in a few weeks before nomination ballots are sent in?

That's what I was hoping for, but the FYC stuff is already in full swing! I'll probably start a new thread by the middle of May.

For your consideration
Prison Break
Excellance in a supporting role, actor in a drama

Peter Stormare as John Abruzzi

Muse Watson as Charles Westmoreland
Excellance in a lead role, actor in a drama

Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield
 Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrows
excellance in a drama series

Thanks Mr. Xtreme
It was hard to go through the supporting roles because there were too many good ones between Stacey Keech, Robert Knepper and Muse Watson. Peter Storme was definately my favorite so it was down to Westmoreland and Teabag. Westmoreland seemed more lik a genuine and likable wise character like Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption so it was a tough choice so I selected him instead

Since Rachel Griffiths is going supporting for the Emmys, I changed it here as well.

I don't think 4 out of 17 should qualify and don't think it does.
And where did four come out of? Wasn't she in like 2 of them and maybe 2 seconds (literally) in another one?

Shes starring in the final two episodes. I hope to jesus she stars in the next two as well so we can get her in for supporting.
Its either Lena Olin for supporting or its Rachel Nichols.

She was supporting for Season 3, but lead every other year. I personally think she could be considered lead for this year, but HBO is submitting her as supporting. She now has a great shot to win, I would say, with two awesome episodes to submit ("A Coat of White Primer" and "All Alone"). She has to be nominated first, so here's hoping. Plus, if Ambrose is nominated, she'll probably submit "Everyone's Waiting" and "Static," both of which Rachel has great scenes in.

I don't see how either Griffiths or Ambrose couldn't make it in with those tapes. They're showcase pieces.
I'm just afraid that Six Feet Under is going to get lost in the shuffle.
Hoping HBO can pull something off.

Do they watch two tapes from every person, then decide the nominees, or do they pick the nominees, then watch the two tapes that are submitted?

Well, yea, some don't, but I bet a lot do. It's not like the Academy Awards where you have to sit through 2, sometimes 3-hour movies. Most shows are 40 to 50 minutes when commericals are taken out. And you figure that each nominee gets two tapes (1 for lead) so I bet a lot do watch.

The rules have changed. Starting this year, they will take the top ten nominees and everyone has to watch the submitted episodes of those ten nominees before narrowing it down to five.
