While the yahoo prediction thread is alarming accurate most of the time, an 18 mill Friday would be ver ver disappointing, and frankly, I just don't think it will happen. I think it will be closer to 22-23. Again, that is just my gut feeling. Plus, if you take in perhaps another 2 mill from Thursday sneeks, it could do 25 for the Friday. Again, just my gut.

I'm not sure if some of you think that War of the Worlds was a disappointment, but it is his highest grossing film, you guys do klnow that right? And that is after all his mental breakdowns. So apparently, it didn;t hurt the box office.

yeah but you also got people (tardos) saying it would've grossed way more if it wasn't for all the crazy things he did/said.

Tom Cruise films are always steady, but never HUGE.
He is best in a medium budget flick, simple truth. That and he is a MUCH bigger star overseas than Domestically ... especially now.

This is either a great idea or a prelude to being sued by Yahoo.

I hope this is true...I'm one of those people who saw War of the Worlds despite Cruise's behavior because it was Spielberg and an alien blockbuster movie, and I have no desire whatsoever to see MI3. Though to be fair I wouldn't have seen it even if he hadn't turned into a nutjob over the past year since I've never seen the first two.

Awesome, now we just need estimates for all films and we will be a force to be reckoned with.

It would have grossed more if it was just a better film. The ending just killed its legs...

Baumer, looks like you got a gut like Hudini
It is slightly dissappointing, but I completely expected it, I cant wait for Poseidon to beat Mi3 by at least 10 million opening.
