This is true, my old theater in Albany, NY already has a 10pm show up, though it doesn't have a midnight show yet. My theater in Austin, TX doesn't have a 10pm show up yet, but the show schedule will be updated tomorrow. WOOT!

I'd say you pretty well won this bet right off the bat.. A movie like this with stellar reviews and not 1 bad one yet to pop up(Give it time), I'd say this is a lock to do at least 250 Million if WOTW can make what it did..

Expecting it not to? No.

This is gonna open to almost $80 mil... if this makes around $150 mil... it'll be some of the worst legs in the history of the world...

Even though I do see this opening well, I think that at least there should be little surprise if this does disappoint a bit, as this film is much more reliant on Cruise's personality than WOTW may have been, so it isn't till a film like this that we might be able to gauge a bit better how is antics off the screen may have affected his box office power...
ie While I would be surprised if this did under $65 m, I don't think its quite out of the realm of reality...

You know?? I'm gonna roll the dice on this one, sortof pretend I'm in Vegas and bet MI:3's Weekend Opening: On Friday, it'll make 23 Million, on Saturday, it'll make 26 Million and on Sunday, I say it'll make around 18 Million for a 3 day total of 67 Million.. Sound good or too low??

That would be one of your better predictions BKB, I'm thinking around there myself, though it could go both ways (around 50million to around 100million).

$67 million is a reasonable prediction.

The estimated theater count at BOM jumped up to 4,000. I guess Paramount's going for the record, like they did with Mission: Impossible and M:I-2.

Should help Nacho Libre's awareness.

The positive reviews continue. It's sitting at 78% at RT, with 7 positive reviews and 2 negative reviews that aren't that really "bad" reviews. Looks good. Variety and Rolling Stone both gave it positive reviews.

if this was being released anytime cept this week, i would have said the movie wouldn't hit 180 mil.
the only reason why i think it'll do great business is because of its release date. everything else is just building on that.

Peter Travers is a loose grader, but getting positive reviews from both Variety (a rave from McCarthy) and The Hollywood Reporter are significant.

The movie is very good. I was standing next to the studio lady collecting the opinions/grade after the movie. I only heard A's from at least 12-15 people.
