If U93 ends up being the big break out hit it might be, it's going to KILL Cruise & Co.!

I've talked to a few friends and the majority would rather see U93 over MI3.

M:I-3 will gross at least three times as much as U93, probably four times as much...

Oh oh -- Friday's U93 BO is real bad news for Mi:III - if Dr. Lecter is right, it could be a $35 million opening weekend...

Opening - 68m
Final - 175m

I dont think trackers can really give an accurate number on blockbusters such as this. Should do well, but I do think the Cruise affect will hurt it a bit and MI2 wasnt a very much liked film. I do think the legs will be quite decent for a sequel like this, wom should be good, though given the type of film it is, it probably wont help it ALOT but still decent.

Can't believe it's been 6 years since the last M:I film. Another thing that'll help it's gross. :D

This is getting really good reviews so far. Could it actually get above a 70% on RT? Quite possibly. Honestly, I think this could be the greatest summer ever from the looks of it, and I mean in both terms of BO and quality.

ha, BJ has expected this to be the most mamoth summer of all time since like forever

Summer 2007 will destroy it.

for sure

T3 was easily the best of the three mentions sequels, its still going to be nothing compared to the total awesomeness that MI3 will be

It still amazes me how well MIB 2 did. It was so horrendous, but the sequel did $190 m, while MIB 1 did $250 m .

All people I talk to hate Electrotom-placenta but everyone wants to see a movie with good oldschool explosions without Mutants or anything. And Da Vinci = non action movie...so until X3 MI3 will be the only action orientated movie (at least in my market)

Same here. It was the first time ever I persuaded several friends of mine to go to a midnight showing of a film.

Yeah this movie is starting to look really good. They put less Cruise in the commercials and more action & fun. I like.

All indications point to a really good action movie. Although no MI fan, i'm quite excited.

My official prediction:

$72m/224m (similar to MI2)

I don't know if this has been brought up yet or not, but my theater will be having a 10pm Thursday night show of MI3. I'm guessing it'll be that way just about everywhere.

As notfabio reported last week, the average screen count in the Southern California area is 5 per theater.
