Tonight's ep. was good. The writing was sharper than usual.

Decent episode tonight. Not as good as last week. So, is the whole Summer/Seth thing finally over? That'll make the episodes better automatically.

I believe Seth and Summer's fight is over because Summer realized Seth wasn't lying when he told her about him not getting into Brown.

It was a decent enough episode.

Oh god. Please tell me Marissa dies in the season finale. I will love you forever, show.

My bets are on either Marissa or Julie dying as I can't see them killing anyone else as Ryan, Seth, and Summer are too vital, as are Sandy and Kirsten. Mischa Barton supposedly wants to leave the show anyway.

Yeah! That's the movie character that came to my mind.

OK, so it's all over the news that Mischa Barton is supposed to get killed off on tonight's season finale, but somehow I don't believe it. It reminds me a lot of how Oliver was supposedly coming back last year and never showed up. Something about how exposed the rumor is really makes me wonder. Oh well, I guess we'll see.

I read on variety.com and other boards that Mischa Barton is not returning this fall... but she is not the one on the brink of death for the finale, it's reported to be a male character.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but tonight's episode was probably my favorite episode of the show ever. It was absolutely perfect! I really related to the whole graduation theme and actually teared up a bit when the core four were getting their diplomas, taking pictures and saying their goodbyes. It reminded me of what I'm going to have to deal with next weekend. The performances in this episode were all excellent, especially from Mischa Barton - finally out of her slump. I loved how this referenced the first season throughout, with them returning to the model home once again and all the flashbacks. It was great, and then came...
*******SPOILERS**********
The absolutely shocking and heartbreaking ending where Marissa dies. Wow. I had heard that it was coming, but I chose not to believe it. The final ten minutes were so intense and really tragic. The entire car crash scene was very unexpected given the nostalgaic feel of most of the episode, and the final scene was truly devestating for any real fan of the show. Marissa dying in Ryan's arms was incredibly poetic and I loved the way that it was done.
********END SPOILERS*********
Anyways, without the ending this could have been a great series finale for the show. At times it almost felt like one - like producers wanted to be prepared in case it didn't get renewed for next year.
Next season is going to be so strange, but I'm planning on watching it to see what happens.
This is the episode I was waiting for and was truly the show's return to real greatness. One Tree Hill has nothing on this :p This is officially back on my favorite shows list now

I never thought I would say this (ever), but...
Poor Marissa!
I mean, I wanted the character the heck off the show (I even wished for her death earlier, heh), but I was content with her leaving to go work on the sailing boat!
I guess the spoiler pinpointing Sandy as the "on the brink of death" character was just to throw people off.
Yikes! Extremely depressing ending.

Good episode but not as affecting as it wanted to be because Marissa was so annoying and hard to care about when she was alive. I wonder what next season will be like?

ugh I wanted Marissa dead, but then the whole nostalgia and the whole feel of the episode made me really upset knowing she was going to die. and by the end i was devestated that she was dying in Ryan's arms. but the references to season 1 and not season 2 was a testament of how the show rebounded at the end of this season. next season will finally have new plot lines beyond the marissa-ryan plot and it should be an interesting rebirth for the show hopefully.

I just hope every character doesn't spend the entire freaking season moping about Marissa (I guess it won't be that hard, since moping was usually Marissa's job) and the characters actually experience some quirky, INTERESTING storylines like they did in the first season. Like, I'm so happy Taylor Townsend is on the show full time.
And Seth and Summer better actually, you know, go to Rhode Island. I'm still worried they'll come up with some stupid reason to keep them in California forever.

I hope you know, now you're beholden to loving this show forever. Was it really worth it?

Holy crap, Marissa died?
THANK THE LORD.
I'll probably download this episode just to see it, then catch back onto the show next year. I can't believe she died! I love it, in any other show the "big" characters would be too beloved and too vital to do something like that. But for Mischa, everybody hated her, everyone is happy. I wonder if the creater was trying to make this a "Oh no!" moment instead of a "Joy!" one, somehow I think he knew he was making the latter.

I've got to say, it's about time this show has a great episode. I'm glad they didn't screw last night's episode up. Like most have said, I wanted Marissa to die, she was just so annoying! Then the plot with her and the boat comes about, and I was very happy with just that. It was a fantastic episode. I can't wait until next season.
